One of the principal features of the current alert is the alignment of the Moon with Mars and Saturn. At the same time these three are also in opposition to Neptune with of course the Earth in between. With regards to moods and emotions this only adds yet further zest and aggression to an already tense and alert mood pattern.

Any alignment between the Moon and Mars is bound to lead to a short but intense period of robust and restless emotions with the risk of over excitable and passionate responses that may lead to arguments, volatile behaviour and extremes of mood and circumstance. Other traits include Impatient, intolerant and forceful moods with assertive and self centred actions that may be objectionable to others.

Of course the above mentioned features are tempered by the fact that the Moon is also in alignment with Saturn, and though this will instil a degree of control and balance with a better sense of discipline it can also make things worse. This is because the more extreme and assertive nature of Mars, which is usually volatile and prone to spontaneous outbursts may be subject to cold meditation that could make any responses all the more vicious and hurtful.

In effect this is a mood pattern that once again will be subject to a surprising polarisation of feelings. For example Mars may tend towards brash and energetic responses with a powerful degree of assertiveness and confidence. On the other hand Saturn may instil doubt and insecurity with hesitant and even fearful emotions along with reduced self confidence. It means that although there may be a firm desire for change and variety or to branch out into new experiences there may be a counter influence which urges caution and restraint. Consequently there may be a strong element of confusion and frustration with a whirl of ideas and conflicting impulses that may be hard to resolve.

At times this can also be a highly sensitive mood atmosphere with vulnerable thoughts and insecurities that once again may lead to acute emotional turmoil particularly where major decisions are concerned.

The more aggressive side of the Moon/Mars/Saturn alignment will be more evident up until around 22:00 GMT or 18:00 EDT. After this it is likely that the more reserved, cautious and doubting traits will be most evident and persist until around 05:00 GMT (01:00 EDT) on the 7th of July.

One of the more cheerful notes of this current mood pattern is the continuing opposition between Venus and Jupiter. This will instil a friendlier and more affable mood influence, that will act as a boost to all social occasions. However balanced with the above mentioned features it means that these traits will not be as powerful as they might otherwise be and there is always the possibility that even the most convivial of settings may suddenly turn sour on the merest pretext. This alignment may also dispose to extravagant or exaggerated responses with the risk of over boisterous or objectionable behaviour. This will be all the more likely where there is the consumption of alcohol and it cannot be too highly stressed that under these circumstances the effects of alcohol will be heightened to a considerable extent.

Once again this is not the easiest of emotional atmospheres with unsettling moods and impressions that some may find extreme. Notable aggression may also cause trouble and there may be upsets and clashes within the family setting.
