25th - 26th June 2008 - Extreme moods possible.

A special warning applies to the period up until around midnight GMT or 20:00 EDT. This concerns the alignment between the Moon and Uranus. As frequent visitors to this site will know this is one of the most unsettling of the routine monthly Lunar alignments and is capable of extremes of circumstance.

On the face of it this present mood pattern does not resemble a high alert rating. For example the phase of the Moon is now tending towards more sedate and easy going moods while the still influential Sun/Venus alignment is contributing to more sympathetic and agreeable feelings with a distinct love of pleasure seeking experiences. However the seemingly innocuous nature of this present alert pattern belies the very real potential for disruption that this atmosphere represents. Indeed as we have said numerous times already Moon/Uranus alignments are often to be found at the time of particularly brutal or otherwise inexplicably heinous murders and other events that have the power to astonish, alarm, and disgust in equal measure. Even more remarkable is that these events frequently have as their perpetrator people of a previously law abiding character who then suddenly crack to produce acts of extreme violence.

Fortunately by no means everyone is driven to even contemplate such extremes but Moon/Uranus alignments have the potential to cause bizarre, unusual, perverse, or out of character thoughts and emotions with the ability to unlock the darkest side of ones personality. In addition there may be highly charged and over excitable moods with increased restlessness together with galvanic bursts of energy that may be highly motivated towards issues of a reforming nature.

Under these circumstances family life may be capable of the greatest disruption with arguments and upheaval as well as drastic or extreme solutions to even the most mundane of problems.

Fortunately as mentioned above the more extreme side of this alignment may be rendered less intense by the Sun/Venus alignment together with the current phase of the Moon which if anything can sometimes lead to more lethargic, depressive and easy going moods and feelings.

Another feature of this period is its intense disposition to escapism in its limitless guises. Amongst other things this could make it difficult to keep to a rigid schedule and ones daily routine may be subject to frequent disruptions as this atmosphere is no lover of convention. In addition there may be a strong desire for variety and change and there may be an intense desire to seek out new places and experiences.

Mars still remains in opposition to Neptune and this is creating powerful self refining emotions with a strong desire to put right those areas of ones character that may be less than agreeable. Added to this there will be yet more of an energetic input with sensitive and at times vulnerable emotions that may incline towards irrational, or exaggerated fears and concerns. There may also be a disposition to mental and emotional confusion with a propensity towards self deception.

Once again it cannot be too highly stressed that this atmosphere harbours the potential for extremes of mood and circumstance capable of swift eruption into even the most tranquil of settings. Consequently the highest of attention should be given to eliminate all sources of friction and one should be prepared to exercise restraint and tolerance over the behaviour of others. It is also worth mentioning that under these circumstances the effects of alcohol may be especially magnified and could lead to very nasty scenes and experiences.
