Today sees the beginning of northern Summer or southern Winter, and this period of the Solstice has its own separate tensions and anxieties. This may involve over sensitive moods and feelings with vulnerable or apprehensive emotions together with a heightened sense of awareness.

The proximity of the Full Moon of only a few days ago will heighten feelings still further and for those susceptible to sensitive mood atmospheres this could prove to be a challenging period. The reality is that most people may find themselves prone to increased nervous restlessness with increased anxiety and tension. Added to this there is the possibility of strong fears and apprehensions so that problems will appear magnified and assume undue dimensions.

As with any immediate post Full Moon atmosphere there is the potential for increased aggression and belligerence with the possibility of arguments, irritability and contentious encounters. However as with previous days the continuing alignment between the Sun and Venus will lead to more sympathetic and understanding moods and feelings. It will also foster affectionate or considerate attentions with powerful feelings of intimacy and romance. Indeed passions of a sensuous nature may easily be ignited and there will be a definite pleasure seeking atmosphere that may prove distracting to a well ordered routine. Under these circumstances escapist inclinations will be difficult to resist, with a strong need for variety and change or the challenge of something different and more rewarding.

Mars and Neptune remain at the height of their opposition and this may lead to strong self refining inclinations that may seek to better ones outlook or make a determined effort to change those aspects of ones life that may be less than commendable. This alignment may also lead to heightened imagination but also to irrational fears that may prove hard to dispel. Similarly there may be an attraction towards themes and aspects of a religious or mystical nature or concepts that appear to offer a route towards a more positive frame of mind. Mars/Neptune alignments can also result in increased mental and emotional confusion with a disposition towards self deception and increased sensitivity.

Once again this will not be the easiest, nor the most comfortable of mood atmospheres. Indeed significant tensions may prevail of a dimension that could prove highly unsettling. Dealing with this may involve compensatory techniques, such as increased alcohol or caffeine consumption, that themselves may lead to yet further problems, and for some this may not be a particularly happy period. Nonetheless there is also the potential for serious self refining gestures or plans of a far reaching nature that could sew important seeds for the future.
