Unfortunately for reasons beyond our control it was not possible to post this edition of the Mood Alert at the usual time.

Undoubtedly the most prominent feature of this current alert pattern is the impending alignment between the Moon and Uranus. The two will begin to align around 23:00 GMT (19:00 EDT), and this will have important mood implications for the following 36 hours, until around 18:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) on the 29th of June.

As frequent visitors to this site will know Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of unsettling mood patterns and therefore the next day or so needs the most careful of handling.

One of the most unsettling elements of Moon/Uranus alignments concerns the way it is able to affect ones appreciation of what constitutes as normal and reasonable behaviour. In fact Moon/Uranus alignments are prone to bizarre, out of character, eccentric, or perverse expressions of behaviour, and this may tend towards extremes. Indeed it is fair to say that many of the more heinous and brutal of murders, including mass shootings or otherwise extraordinarily severe killings usually occur around the time of a Moon/Uranus alignment. It seems that the forces unleashed at this time are enough to tip even previously law abiding citizens over the edge in a quite spectacular manner.

Not surprisingly this time can also result in extreme upheaval within the family setting and very bitter arguments are likely as not to commence over the most trivial of concerns that may then quickly escalate into very turbulent scenes and episodes. Other traits to watch out for are a highly strung, galvanic or emotionally charged demeanour with a propensity towards drastic solutions to even moderate problems.

In what may turn out to be a period prone to extremes, some measure of restraint may come from the alignment between the Sun and Venus. This has been active for at least a week and will contribute more agreeable moods and feelings. This will likely result in powerful mood traits with the need for sympathy and understanding, together with strong feelings of intimacy and affection. In addition there may be creative or artistic inclinations and this will suit all activities of an expressional nature.

A word of warning must be sounded because the unpredictable nature of the Moon/Uranus alignment mixed with the intimacy and affection of the Sun/Venus alignment may provide a heady cocktail of moods with little restraint as to the likely consequences. This will especially be true in amorous or sensual situations where questions of morality or responsibility may easily be thrust aside. Hence this atmosphere may give rise to consequences of a lasting nature and lives may be forever changed.

Another restraining factor is likely to be the current phase of the Moon which at around 47% illuminate will contribute to more sedate and easy going moods and emotions - a time that we habitually refer to as the ‘emotional doldrums.’

In many respects the period up until around 18:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) on the 29th of June constitutes a period worthy of very careful attention. The problem is that whilst it may not seem overtly problematical, trouble may occur quite spontaneously and with little preamble between a seemingly normal atmosphere and one of considerable turmoil. On the more positive side this atmosphere will suit those in need of a forceful and energetic atmosphere, or those of a creative inclination for whom this period will be a great opportunity for original work of the highest calibre.
