The principal feature of this current alert is the alignment between the Moon and Mars. In addition each of these will be in opposition to Jupiter, thus creating a very powerful mood atmosphere with noticeable effects and consequences. These effects will be most apparent during the height of this alignment which last until approximately 03:00 GMT on the 11th of May (22:00 EDT on the 10 th of May)

With regard to moods there is likely to be a heightening of aggressive energy with plenty of nervous restlessness, impatience, and intolerance. In addition there may be a keen sense of like and dislike so that feelings and emotions may be very forcefully expressed.

Under these circumstances sources of irritation may proliferate and there may be simmering resentments, mood swings and trouble in settling. This means there will be a raised potential for arguments and where acrimony develops there may be little restraint in what is said or done. Added to this there will be a tendency towards subtle fears and preoccupation’s with a degree of insecurity that will magnify problems to a considerable extent.

Because the Moon is also in opposition to Jupiter at this time there is likely to be a highlighting of feelings corresponding to sympathy, generosity, and social interaction. As a result there will be an opportunity to actively enjoy the company of others with the possibility of good fun and entertainment. However this atmosphere also disposes towards excess and extravagance along with exaggerated moods that may be objectionable to others or else impose risks that could lead to needless mistakes and accidents. It is also worth pointing out that the effects of alcohol will be magnified at this time and may lead to over boisterous moods and attitudes that could become difficult to control or deal with.

Saturn still remains in opposition to Neptune and typical qualities associated with Saturn i.e. reserved, disciplined, restricted and cautious mood attributes will be very much in evidence. For some these are also likely to result in melancholia or depression so that thoughts and emotions may be subject to pessimistic inclinations with lowered self confidence and a sense of futility.

The Saturn/Neptune opposition can also give way to acute emotional frustration, with some mental chaos and confusion. In combination with the more aggressive effects of the Moon/ Mars alignment mentioned above this could give way to considerable agitation, which may be particularly evident where there is the consumption of alcohol.

Once again this may not turn out to be the easiest of mood atmospheres and it could feel harder to get going. In addition there may be a sizeable distraction from escapist tendencies that will make it difficult to keep to ones normal daily routine. This, as well as many other factors could help to make this an atmosphere that may be filled with petty frustrations that will require patience and restraint to avoid more extreme reactions.
