Today’s emotional climate may see a noticeable climb down from some of the very heightened moods of the last week or so. However there is still need to be wary as the atmosphere retains enough nervous restlessness and anxiety to cause problems. Indeed for some this may still constitute a period of significant challenge with moods and emotions that may be difficult to cope with.

For the most part however this period will be prone to moods that even if not in the top category of mood alerts will fall within a sensitive, vulnerable and insecure domain of emotions. In addition there may be petty frustrations with trouble in concentration allied to a poor sense of focus.

Under these circumstances it may be hard to make up ones mind, with an avoidance of decisions or loathing for situations requiring a high degree of responsibility. There will also be an easy tendency towards distracting influences that will result in low productivity so that ones daily routine may see frequent interruptions and delays. Inevitably it means that tasks may not be finished to the same standard of efficiency or else left unfinished or abandoned altogether. There may also be a tendency to mistakes and accidents through inattention or distracting influences that will be hard to ignore.

The overall mood atmosphere is likely to be subject to varying levels of stress and anxiety and although feelings will not be as tense and nervous as previous days there will still be a more than average sense of urgency that could make it hard to settle. Because of this physical tasks will be preferred over those requiring a high degree of mental dexterity, as there may be a natural tendency to want to use up excess energy. Others may choose to do this through drinking or eating more than usual and this emotional climate still harbours an inclination towards escapism in its limitless forms and guises.

Although this is not an overtly aggressive atmosphere there is enough friction and frustration to produce conflict. Indeed where arguments occur they may start innocuously but develop to become extremely virulent with little restraint in what is said or done. Within relationships this disposition towards conflict may be translated into subtle tensions that in the appropriate circumstances may spontaneously erupt into quite nasty scenes and episodes.

Some elements of this atmosphere may dispose to low self confidence, pessimism, or generally not quite feeling positive enough to tackle problems with any great sense of determination. As a result there may be some degree of depression and melancholia together with a unnecessarily bleak view of ones future prospects.

The next 24 hours will see yet further zest to the atmosphere with the alignment of the Moon and Mars; both of which will be in opposition to Jupiter, but more on this in the next alert bulletin.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 21% illuminated.
