We are now just two or three days short of the New Moon and this will inevitably result in increased tension and anxiety as well as heightened nervous restlessness.

As a result it may feel difficult to settle, with an atmosphere that may sometimes struggle to find any great sense of satisfaction. Consequently there may be notable frustrations and irritability and problems may acquire undue dimensions and weigh heavily on the mind. Under these circumstances petty animosities and resentments may flourish with the possibility of friction or mental agitation. Indeed there may - according to circumstances - be considerable aggression, anger, or turbulence, with the potential for volatile outbursts and even violence.

It should be noted that aggressive tendencies will be made all the more likely where there is the consumption of alcohol whose effects will now be magnified. We are now just three or four days away from the next New Moon and this will have an important influence on moods over the next week or so. Likely mood traits will include tense and anxious emotions with plenty of nervous restlessness. In addition there is likely to be a lack of concentration with trouble in settling so that it could prove difficult to relax.

As with any New Moon environment there is likely to be aggressive or assertive inclinations with highly strung moods, over emotional outbursts and increased sensitivity. Similarly there may be a propensity towards doubts and fears with reduced self confidence and a worrying attitude that may be hard to pacify.

Under these circumstances there is likely to be a hyper sensitivity to events and happenings with an increased risk of turbulent or passionate emotions and even the possibility of panic attacks. The dominant feature of this current alert pattern is the continuing alignment between the Moon and Uranus. The two will remain conjunct until around 18:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) and as mentioned in the previous alert bulletin this has important mood implications for the whole of this immediate period.

Frequent visitors to this site will know that in our opinion Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of unsettling mood bringers. In fact it is no exaggeration to say that many of the more grotesque, bizarre, or seemingly inexplicable murders and crimes occur under the influence of Moon/Uranus alignments. As such this period deserves to be viewed with the utmost caution as events of an extreme nature can occur with stunning rapidity.

The principal features of Moon/Uranus alignments are for bizarre, eccentric or out of character moods and emotions together with unsettled, highly strung, or emotionally charged inclinations. Unfortunately for reasons beyond our control it was not possible to post this edition of the Mood Alert at the usual time.

Undoubtedly the most prominent feature of this current alert pattern is the impending alignment between the Moon and Uranus. The two will begin to align around 23:00 GMT (19:00 EDT), and this will have important mood implications for the following 36 hours, until around 18:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) on the 29th of June.

As frequent visitors to this site will know Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of unsettling mood patterns and therefore the next day or so needs the most careful of handling.

One of the most unsettling elements of Moon/Uranus alignments concerns the way it is able to affect ones appreciation of what constitutes as normal and reasonable behaviour. In fact Moon/Uranus alignments are prone to bizarre, out of character, eccentric, or perverse expressions of behaviour, and this may tend towards extremes. Indeed it is fair to say that many of the more heinous and brutal of murders, including mass shootings or otherwise extraordinarily severe killings usually occur around the time of a Moon/Uranus alignment. For some this may appear like a flattened period of emotions with little inspiration or enthusiasm. In addition it may feel harder to get going with noticeable frustrations and irritability that may occasionally spill over into arguments, simmering resentments, or hostility. On top of this there may be some degree of nervous restlessness that could make it difficult to concentrate, or focus on the task in hand.

On the whole however it is likely that the more subdued or melancholic elements of this alignment will be dominant, and this will be reinforced by a number of different sources.

One of the principal elements of this alert period is the continuing opposition between the Moon and Saturn. The two will remain conjunct until around noon GMT (08:00 EDT) on the 28th of May. Likely mood traits to result from this centre around the limiting, restricted, or disciplined nature of Saturn, but also its tendency to inhibited constrained or a timid disposition with lowered self confidence.
