29th - 30th April 2008

The principal feature of this current alert is the alignment of the Moon and Neptune both of which will also be in opposition to Saturn.

The alignment between the Moon and Neptune lasts up until 05:00 GMT on the 30th April or around midnight EDT. After this the Moon will continue to be in opposition to Saturn for around 24 hours longer.

With regards to moods and emotions this current celestial climate may lead to extreme emotional sensitivity with some tendency towards confused or chaotic impulses . In addition there may be refined or subtle responses with the risk of deceitful or unstable emotions that in extreme cases may tend towards neurotic or escapist tendencies.

Throughout the period mentioned above the Moon will also be in opposition to Saturn and this will provide a measure of restraint that may block some of the more extreme elements of this current alert pattern. Likely mood traits include reserved, timid, or depressive moods with a lowered sense of confidence and enthusiasm. This may also involve an easy disposition to disappointment and disillusionment and although this atmosphere may inspire an intense need for change there may be a propensity to see problems rather than solutions and any determination to carry through ones plans may be met with a large number of doubts and misgivings.

Under these circumstances any problems may appear to loom large and there will be a burgeoning of fears and concerns with apprehensions that may linger in the mind and eventually become wearing on the senses.

Mars still remains very much in opposition to Jupiter. The two have been conjunct for very close to a month and have contributed to a period of heightened moods and emotions. As such this present atmosphere still retains something of this energy although the contrasting forces of the above mentioned alignments mean that its more zealous or aggressive inclinations will be very much curtailed. Even so this opposition does offer some much needed spark to the atmosphere, and will prevent the more depressive forces of this alert from becoming too oppressive.

It is also worth noting that we are now in the run up to the next New Moon in around six days time and this means that during the course of this period moods will be subject to ever more heightened emotions with growing stress and anxiety.

The next major alignment will be on the 1st of May when the Moon will align with Uranus. This is definitely a date to watch out for as Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of unsettling mood atmosphere’s - but more on this in a future alert bulletin.

Alert is 7. Moon 41% illuminated.
