We are now about to enter a short but intense period of moods and emotions that will last for just over a week, and culminate with the run-up to the next Full Moon on the 20th of April. Inevitably this will see a roller coaster of moods and emotions with challenging feelings that for some may come to be especially trying.

For the moment the Moon is about to align with Mars, during which time it will also come into opposition with Jupiter. The Moon/Mars alignment peaks at around 21:00 GMT (16:00 EDT) and lasts up until around 16:00 GMT (11:00 EDT) on Saturday the 12th. After this the Moon will continue to remain in opposition to Jupiter until around 09:00 GMT (04:00 EDT) on Sunday the 12th of April.

With regards to moods and emotions this is likely to see a considerably more contentious and argumentative atmosphere with very strong emotions that may harbour the potential for considerable turmoil. In addition there is likely to be a keen sense of like and dislike and passions will be easily aroused.

Under these circumstances social issues and other matters of a humanitarian nature could spark off intense debate and argument, and this could give way to intolerant, impatient, or over assertive attitudes. Similarly there may be simmering resentments that may easily give way to heated exchanges and even violence.

The influence of Jupiter may lead to exaggerated and extravagant gestures and although there may be some degree of geniality the mood will all to easily extend to extreme moods and feelings. This could in turn lead to a reckless sense of superiority with hasty, ill judged actions that may result in a more than average run of mistakes and accidents.

The opposition between Saturn and Neptune may act as a brake against some of the more extreme moods of this time but this is likely to be at the expense of some melancholia, depression or emotional frustration that may not be easy to dispel. It should be warned that the effects of alcohol will be particularly volatile at this time with unpredictable moods and feelings that have the potential to lead to extremely nasty scenes and outbursts of a totally unrestrained nature.

As with previous days moods will be subject to a swift variation, going from optimistic, fired up enthusiasm to feelings of insecurity and apprehension that may be laden with pessimism or even futility.

Tomorrow sees the Sun aligned with Mercury and this will add yet further to the already heightened mood scene. Likely emotions will include added alertness and sense of awareness with powerful mental and emotional activity. As well as anything this may lead to nervous upsets or a strong desire for change. It can also lead to enhanced psychic intuition with strong artistic and creative abilities. In addition there may be a galvanic sense of emotional energy that will be a great boost for on going schemes and ventures.
