Today sees a continuation of the general mood trend that has prevailed over the last few days. This is for an emotional climate governed by the fast diminishing effects of the New Moon of around three or four days ago, and the contrasting effects of two long standing oppositions. The first of these oppositions involves Mars/Jupiter and the second is the opposition between Saturn and Neptune.

With regards to general moods and emotions this is likely to produce a frustrating and at times difficult atmosphere that may be filled with contrasting emotions that could result in some emotional turmoil and confusion. Mars and Jupiter will add zestful and assertive moods and feelings with a strong sense of purpose and determination. Meanwhile this will almost be completely contrasted by the more demure, hesitant and restrained nature of Saturn that will in turn balance the optimism and enthusiasm of Jupiter with more pessimistic thoughts and feelings. These will also be laden with a heavy sense of doubt and misgiving along with poor self confidence and lack of concentration.

One area where moods may work well together is in activities connected with religious, political or humanitarian issues where a strong campaigning energy is necessary. This may currently find a ready uplift from the drive of Mars as well as a self superior attitude, that may blend well with the refining nature of Neptune. With the influence of Saturn to prevent excesses this could form the ideal mixture for those indulging in crusading enterprises that depend on a strong element of assertive action. Unfortunately this period may not be suited for well considered thoughts and decisions and could lead to impulsive and impetuous actions that could prove extremely costly.

Some may find this atmosphere to be extremely frustrating with little satisfaction or sense of accomplishment. Indeed this element of insecurity is likely to become the most dominant of feelings and could lead to a strong attraction for escapism in its limitless forms and guises. Inevitably this could be highly detrimental to ones daily routine and tasks may be left unfinished, or else hurriedly completed to a lower than usual standard.

Some - and admittedly this will apply to relatively few - may find they can successfully shield out the limiting effects of Saturn and Neptune, and feel themselves buoyed by an intense feeling of well being. However this may also tend to over boisterous or reckless behaviour with the possibility of mistakes and accidents.

Lingering elements of New Moon aggression may still be apparent and this may add colour to arguments with strong emotions and volatile expression. However any disagreements will not exhibit the intensity of feelings of even just a few days ago and this means that any confrontation - unless heavily fuelled by alcohol - will be of short duration only.

Coming days will see a change to more zestful and focused feelings as the Sun begins to align with Mercury, but more will be said on this in future alert bulletins.
