We are now just a day beyond the New Moon and this means that moods and emotions will still be subject to heightened nervous restlessness with some anxiety and tension.
As with every New Moon situation there is also the potential for more aggressive thoughts and inclinations and this current atmosphere harbours the risk of contentious encounters and volatile expression.
On the whole it may be the more apprehensive moods that come to predominate and there may be noticeable fears and concerns, so that even trivial problems could assume monumental proportions. Indeed those with a pre-existing source of apprehension may come to feel especially pressured and for some this period could prove to be one of substantial challenge. In addition there may be frustrating moods and feelings with a low sense of satisfaction, combined with an over sensitivity to criticism and disappointment. As well as anything this could lead to a degree of melancholia and depression and overall there may be some sense of lowered self confidence or of not quite hitting the mark.
The opposition between Mars and Jupiter will at least ensure the existence of more zestful and enthusiastic inclinations, though this may easily tend to over zealous thoughts and actions with a tendency to forceful and assertive attitudes that may be objectionable to others. Similarly there may be signs of a superiority complex that may be all the more evident in connection with affairs of a political, religious or humanitarian nature. This could result in a campaigning zeal and high sense of mission matched with strong nervous energy, that may however extend to unrealistic or impossibly lofty aims and desires.
The more demure and reserved side of this atmosphere is probably due to the long term opposition between Neptune and Saturn. As outlined in previous alert bulletins this may give way to acute emotional frustration with confused or chaotic actions. There is also the possibility of poor concentration which means that decisions may not benefit from the best of consideration, hence there is likely to be a period of wastefulness with large financial losses.
We are now entering one of the years least active periods in terms of planetary alignments. This will persist until around the end of May and during that period there is just the routine set of monthly Lunar alignments together with the above mentioned oppositions between Mars and Jupiter, and Saturn and Neptune. The latter will be active throughout this period and will to some extent be balanced by the Mars/Jupiter opposition that remains conjunct until the middle of May.
Alert is 8. Moon 2% illuminated.
