We are now just hours away from the New Moon which this month will occur at 03:56 GMT on the 6th of April, or 22:56 EDT on the 5th of April.
Inevitably as with any New Moon setting there will be increased nervous restlessness with heightened moods and feelings that could make it difficult to settle and feel at ease. In addition there will be a heightened sense of awareness and perception. This will be made all the more acute by the current alignment of the Moon and Mercury. The two will stay conjunct until the early evening GMT, or around 13:00 EDT. In addition there will be increased tension and anxiety with the likelihood of frayed nerves or volatile exchanges. As well as anything this may also involve simmering resentments or animosity that even if not fully articulated my still be capable of causing problems.
Under these circumstances fears and worries may proliferate with a general state of apprehension that may see all problems magnified. As a result there may be a preoccupation with matters of even a mundane or insignificant nature and concerns about health or well being may add to the overall state of insecurity.
Aggression or feelings of a confrontational nature may be further fuelled by the continuing opposition between Mars and Jupiter. This will add assertive or more direct and impulsive moods and could result in bullying, boastful or belligerent behaviour. There may also be a tendency towards extremist actions with a feelings of superiority especially where these involve activities with a strong political, religious or humanitarian agenda.
On the more positive side the Mars/Jupiter opposition may lead to a better enjoyment of things with renewed optimism and enthusiasm. This in tandem with the energetic and zestful emotions associated with Mercury mean that this may be an ideal time for weighty projects of a strongly physical nature. On the other hand those requiring more cerebral dexterity may struggle if only for the reason that the opposition between Saturn and Neptune may lead to poor concentration and focus.
The strong restless nature of this current atmosphere will also make it difficult to settle, and in most respects physical tasks will be better indicated than those of a sedentary disposition. Some elements of this mood may conflict heavily with one another. For example there is the zestful and enthusiastic nature of Mercury along with Mars and Jupiter to provide energy and optimism.
On the other hand the influence of Saturn and Neptune may introduce more pessimistic thoughts with the risk of acute emotional frustration. Essentially it means that although one may exhibit great zeal and enthusiasm, there may also be nagging doubts and insecurities that could lead to disillusionment or an easy sense of disappointment or even depression when difficulties arise. Above all it illustrates what a profoundly complex mood setting this really is.
Alert is 8. Moon 1% illuminated.
