We are now just around two days short of the New Moon and this will inevitably mean a period of heightened moods and emotions, which this month will be yet further emphasised by numerous potent planetary alignments. In fact the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Uranus are now all to be found within 25 degrees of one another. This close proximity means that the Moon is currently aspecting between Uranus and Venus and Mercury, and this will mean a period of fast changing moods and feelings.

During the early stages of this alert the influence of the Moon and Uranus may still be apparent with bizarre, or unusual moods and feelings together with out of character thoughts and actions. There may also be a tendency towards extremes and this could result in upheaval within the family setting.

Around 21:00 GMT (16:00 EDT) the Moon will begin to align with Venus and this will lead to altogether more agreeable moods and feelings. More precisely this should result in a friendlier more affectionate and optimistic inclination with a better sense of rhythm and emotional balance.

Towards 06:00 GMT (01:00 EDT) on the 5th of April the Moon will begin to align with Mercury. In tandem with the New Moon and the opposition between Mars and Jupiter this is likely to result in a powerful sense of mental and nervous activity with restlessness and a high sense of emotional awareness. For some this may be a little too strong to handle and could give rise to a worrying or indecisive attitude that may be prone to lack of concentration or forgetfulness.

The influence of the Mars/Jupiter opposition will tend towards assertive and enthusiastic moods and feelings with a high degree of nervous energy. This may give rise to a frank and direct attitude with the possibility of an over bearing disposition with objectionable behaviour. The proximity of the New Moon will further sharpen the chance of contentious encounters and the risk of conflict will be a constant feature of an alert pattern that is of supreme complexity. In addition there may be inclinations towards a superiority complex with strong ideals particularly where these concern religious, political or humanitarian aims and desires.

The Jupiter/Mars alignment can also tend towards extremism, or conflict on a grand scale, and this may be reflected on a political level with the risk of localised flashpoints of violence across the world.

Some measure of restraint and balance may come from the ongoing opposition between Saturn and Neptune. This is a slow moving alignment that will be around for some months to come. One of its features is acute emotional frustration. Others include a dampening of creative spirit, as well as impractical or confused thinking, with a potential for large financial losses.

The next few days are likely to see an upsurge in strong nervous restlessness with the possibility of raised nerves, arguments and general sense of unsettlement. Similarly there are likely to be increased tensions so that problems may appear magnified, along with needless fears and preoccupation’s, even over the most trifling of matters.

On the more positive side this period offers substantial amounts of zestful energy and harnessing it correctly, and with the right balance will prove the key to this either being a time of great promise and opportunity, or one of challenging tension and anxiety.
