We are now entering a short but intense period of planetary alignments that means that the lead up to the next New Moon on the 6th of April will be filled with eventful moods and happenings. More information will be given on this on a day to day basis, as this promises to be a week of great emotional variety.
For the moment the mood pattern is dominated - as it has been for over a week now - by the alignment involving Uranus, Mercury, and Venus. Frequent visitors to this site will know that this has led to a disruptive mood sequence with the potential for extreme emotions and feelings. There is also the possibility of bizarre, unusual, or out of character moods and emotions that in the appropriate circumstances may tend towards highly drastic, or extreme remedies or reactions to even the most mundane of problems and difficulties.
Added to this there may be an intense desire for escapism in its limitless forms, though the actions of Uranus may dictate that in a large number of cases this may involve resorting to either drugs or to drink, or comfort eating as a means of dealing with the pressure and heightened moods that this period is capable of generating.
On a personal level this may be a time of strife within relationships that may be of such a magnitude to cause splits and separations, or drive some to illicit affairs or ill judged relationships.
The more aggressive elements of this alert pattern will receive a further boost from the fast developing opposition between Mars and Jupiter. The two will remain aligned until around the middle of May and will peak around mid April.
Likely mood traits to result from this include assertive and enthusiastic emotions with a strong willed attitude that in certain circumstances may tend towards bullying or extremist attitudes with a superiority complex. There may also be frank and direct disposition towards others, mixed with a generous and adventurous inclination, that may however be filled with reckless disregard for safety or probable consequences. As well as making one prone to accidents this may also lead to extravagance and large financial losses.
It is worth pointing out that Mars and Jupiter have sometimes been regarded as the planets of war, and although this present conjunction is an opposition, rather than a direct alignment it still harbours the potential for strife and disorder. This applies as much on a political level as it does on the personal scale and the last time these planets were in opposition was at the beginning of the year when Kenya, amongst other nations, was convulsed in bitter ethnic disputes with many deaths, after accusations of a rigged election. Now the two planets are once again in opposition and inevitably tensions around the world will tend to escalate.
The actions of Saturn which is now in long term opposition to Neptune may tend to dampen the worst elements of the present mood scene, but this alignment also has the potential for great emotional frustration. Others traits include confused, idealistic, or chaotic thoughts that may result in poor concentration and problems with making up ones mind.
Once again this represents a highly complex mood pattern with frustrating and challenging emotions that may be cause for concern. On the other hand this mood offers plenty of energy and enthusiasm for on going schemes and ventures, with the added boost of blind confidence that may not see all difficulties attached to a venture, but certainly gives the drive to overcome everything in its path. This may end up against the buffers of reality but it could also help you achieve more than you ever thought possible.
This mood also offers enough good energy to enjoy things to the maximum though care should be taken to avoid the excess that is an inevitable accompaniment to a mood such as this.
