Risk of major earthquakes.

The next week carries a greatly heightened risk of major earthquakes. The proximity of the New Moon with the added ingredient of numerous planetary alignments means this is an atmosphere just ripe for major quakes to occur even in areas not normally associated with such events. In a way this trend is already very much in evidence. In the last 24 hours there have been at least two major quakes. One of magnitude 7.0 in the Philippine Islands, and another of magnitude 6.8 in the Kuril Islands. Coming days harbour the potential for similar if not larger quakes in what will be a period of heightened seismic activity.
As we have mentioned many times already major quakes tend to cluster around the time of the Full or New Moon. Indeed of the ten major quakes over the last century at least 7 have a definite New Moon connection. This month the potential for major quakes is even greater because of the presence of numerous major planetary alignments such as the close alignment between Mercury, Venus and Neptune.
