Warning: Extreme moods possible!!

We are now entering into a particularly complex period of planetary influence. As a result moods and emotions will be equally complex and possibly subject to extremes of circumstance. Certainly this may come to represent a highly challenging period but provided one can balance the energy correctly it may also represent a time of unique opportunity.

Perhaps the prime feature of this current alert is the impending New Moon on the 7th of March. Inevitably this will lead to tense, nervous restlessness with increased anxiety and apprehension. As a result problems may seem magnified and blown out of all proportion. Also apparent will be an increase in aggression and anger with a potential for contentious encounters, hostility, and volatile expression. Indeed where arguments develop there may be very little restraint in what is said or done and conflicts may swiftly take on a very menacing tone.

This tendency towards extremes of circumstance will be further emphasised by the start of the alignment between the Sun and Uranus. This will last for very close to two weeks and will represent one of the years most challenging mood periods. Uranus is well known for its powerful deviation from the norm and this may result in out of character behaviour with bizarre or eccentric modes of expression. It is also likely to result in dramatic and eventful changes with a high degree of unsettlement that may tend towards drastic and even hysterical modes of behaviour.

If there is a more favourable side to this alignment it is that it can give rise to galvanic energy that will be particularly apparent on the 7th of March when the Sun, Moon and Uranus will all be in close alignment and potentially represents one of the years most explosive days. Sun/Uranus alignments are also noted for their rebellious, independently minded qualities along with immensely disruptive traits that is capable of causing great upheaval within the family setting.

Further celestial complexity comes from the three way alignment between Venus, Mercury and Neptune. This is likely to lead to supreme emotional sensitivity with greatly heightened moods and feelings that will be prone to vulnerable and penetrating emotions. To some extent this alignment may instil a degree of balance and harmony, but this will be offset by its more emotionally unsettling elements that in tandem with the Sun/Uranus alignment and the New Moon represents a highly volatile mixture of emotions that many will find difficult to cope with.

Paradoxically, in view of the things mentioned above, this atmosphere is also capable of generating an appreciation of things of beauty and refinement as well as increased creativity and originality that for some may border on qualities of genius. In a way this will offer some sanctuary from the harsher elements of this atmosphere as immersion in satisfying and mentally stimulating activities will be one way of making the best possible use of the intense energy of this period. Practically however it is the harmonious blend of physical and mental exercise that will really make a major difference to ones true health at this time, and this balance of mental and physical exercise was one that was much lauded by the ancient Greeks.

Either way it is important to be aware of just how disruptive this atmosphere can really become, and the days ahead represent one of the years most testing periods.
