Today sees a familiar celestial setting with just the Sun/Saturn opposition and the alignment between Mercury and Venus as the only notable features. Frequent visitors to this site will know that this has almost been the fixed setting to the week with only the altering phases of the Moon creating much variation of mood.

The Sun/Saturn opposition is now on the wane, but is still influential. For very nearly three weeks now this has brought cool and calculating emotions with some caution and reserve. However it has also led to lowered self confidence with a propensity towards depressed or melancholic feelings filled with pessimism and gloomy thoughts. In addition it may also invite a variety of general fears and phobias and create conditions that may be ripe for chronic ill health and pessimism.

Another prime influencing factor of this period is the alignment between Mercury and Venus. This has been active for over three weeks and although past its peak is still capable of exerting an important influence. Likely mood traits to result from this include sharpened mental and emotional faculties along with a more agreeable and harmonious disposition that will be an aid to expressional abilities.

Also of relevance at this time is a sustained period of strong Solar winds that have been buffeting the Earth’s atmosphere. Sometimes this can result in quite noticeable physical and emotional symptoms such as neuralgic pains, headache, toothache, nausea, dizziness, or simply feeling unwell for no apparent reason. There is also the likelihood of fatigue or tiredness or feeling washed out and depleted of energy. Emotionally this can lead to bouts of irritability or anxiousness with poor concentration and trouble focusing on the task in hand. It should be pointed out, as we have many times already, that symptoms related to increased geomagnetic activity tend to be of short duration only, and if persisting longer than a few days are likely to be of some other origin.

The week ahead will see some notable changes to the overall mood atmosphere. In fact we are heading towards one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. We shall also see a gradual increase in tension and anxiety along with restless energy as we come up to the New Moon on the 7th of March.

Alert is 7. Moon 28% illuminated
