Today is the day of the Full Moon and inevitably moods and emotions will be tense and on edge with strong nervous restlessness.

There is also likely to be increased aggression and belligerence with the potential for contentious encounters, arguments or volatile expression. Tempers may come quickly to the boil and blaze brightly with a possibility of deep animosities or simmering resentment. Under these circumstances it will be easy to speak ones mind and where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done.

The fortunate thing is that numerous other factors will mean that the effects of the Full Moon will be balanced by other less inflammatory influences. For example there is the three way alignment between the Sun, Moon and Saturn, with the influence of Saturn exerting a degree of control and balance.

However Saturn can also incline to limiting or reserved emotions with a pessimistic or melancholic outlook with low self confidence. It can also invite fears and phobias and create conditions of chronic ill health. In addition there may be a tendency towards self pity and an over bleak view of ones future prospects. It means that although some of the worst aspects of the Full Moon will be offset by Saturn’s propensity towards reserve and caution, there could be significant feelings of doubt and insecurity, not to mention depression that for some may be just as bad.

On a more favourable note Venus and Mercury are now coming into alignment and will remain so until the first week in April. With regard to moods this may result in powerful mental and nervous activity with a stimulation of the senses towards gentler or more agreeable feelings as well as a greater prospect for harmonious expression. As such this will be a welcome planetary addition that will help - as in this present situation - to prevent more potent forces from becoming too extreme or entrenched.

All in all this is a mood situation of some complexity with the more bellicose Full Moon traits offset by the more reserved, but also depressional nature of Saturn. Then there is the more agreeable influence of Venus and Mercury that all contribute to make this a period of quite apparent tension and challenge, but also the chance to take stock and make some very important and necessary adjustments.
