The alignment of the Sun and Neptune which has been so fundamental to the mood atmosphere over the last week is now beginning to fade though is still able to exert influence. However the mood outlook is now beginning to change because we are now beginning to see the first days of the opposition between the Sun and Saturn which will be with us for around the next ten days or so.

With regards to moods and emotions this will create an emotional climate with a very definite sense of limitation and reserve. In addition there may be feelings of melancholia with a pessimistic outlook and reduced self confidence. On the other hand this period will offer a disciplined and controlled atmosphere to establish better plans and ideas, as well as diminishing any tendency towards extremes of mood and circumstance.

For at least the next few days the Sun remains in alignment with Neptune and this means a continuation of the highly sensitive and delicate moods that have characterised the last week or so. For some these moods may have proved extremely challenging with vulnerable and penetrating emotions tinged with unusual or neurotic reactions to even the most mundane of daily situations.

Under these circumstances there may be inclinations towards idealistic aims of a strongly humanitarian nature or ideas for political or spiritual reform. Indeed there may well be an enhanced insight into spiritual or mystical awareness with increased imaginative powers or intuitive abilities that may verge on the psychic. Similarly there may be increased espressional ability that will be perfect for all artistic or creative pursuits.

Once again it should be stressed that although this atmosphere is not overtly aggressive it is possible that the increased sensitivity of this period could lead to heated exchanges or sudden arguments that fortunately are likely to be of short duration only. These may arise over points of principal or unfair criticism, or indeed any perceived slight or grievance which may easily cause a short outburst of a volatile nature.

The current phase of the Moon can tend towards a brief but noticeable period of more subdued moods and emotions that on this occasion may be balanced by the more receptive qualities of Neptune. In the week ahead there will be a steady rise in tensions and anxiety as we commence the rise to the next Full Moon, although the influence of Saturn may help to ensure a measure of control and discipline.
