For the fifth day in a row the mood atmosphere stays in a broadly similar outlook with just the alignment between the Sun and Neptune to give colour to the emotional spectrum. With few other powerful influences this means that the principal traits of this alignment will be all the more apparent.
As frequent visitors to this site will know these traits signify a highly sensitive atmosphere with deeply impressionable moods and feelings. It may also signify a period of idealistic thoughts and ideas involving humanitarian, political or spiritual inclinations. Unfortunately there may also be a tendency towards self deception, deceit or confused and chaotic thinking.
The sensitive nature of this atmosphere with its propensity towards highlighting very emotive issues in ones life, together with the heightening of awareness and perception has made this a challenging period for some, with neurotic reactions together with an intense desire to escape the pressures of life. All too often this may involve resorting to drugs or alcohol and there is no doubt that the current atmosphere may be capable of bringing to the surface particularly disturbing thoughts and impressions.
On the other hand this atmosphere can also offer a portal to enhanced spiritual and mystical awareness and this avenue of escapism may offer a healthier alternative to further ones sense of well being. In addition artistic, and expressional abilities will all be well indicated and this is a great opportunity for all those with a creative inclination.
The alignment of the Sun and Neptune is now about to diminish and over the next few days will fade altogether. Replacing it will be an alignment of the Sun and Saturn which will impose moods of an altogether different nature. This will be towards cool and calculating emotions with cautious, reserved and pessimistic attitudes that may be filled with needless worrying. Nevertheless it will reward persistence and there will be extra patience and diligence, but this will be balanced by poor self confidence, and a sense of ones own limitations. More will be said of the Sun/Saturn alignment in future alerts as it will have an immense influence over moods for the next few weeks.
Fortunately the more pessimistic inclinations of the Sun/Saturn alignment - which lasts for nearly three weeks - will be balanced by the alignment of Mercury and Venus which will bring a more harmonious and agreeable disposition.
Usually at this phase of the Moon there is a brief but noticeable period where moods assume an attitude characterised by few great highs and lows and broadly reminiscent of the emotional doldrums. Sometimes this may involve a period of doubts and misgivings with a pessimistic outlook that may be prone to melancholia or depression. Some may now feel these traits to a varying extent but inevitably this will be balanced by the effects of the Sun/Neptune alignment mentioned above.
Alert is 7.5 Moon 54% illuminated.
