13th - 14th February 2008

For around four consecutive days moods and emotions have displayed a relatively consistent feel to them. In many ways this is rare in the world of moods and emotions but is a reflection of the fact that we are in one of the years sparsest periods of planetary alignments. In fact there is just the alignment between the Sun and Neptune to add colour to the present emotional fabric.

As reported in previous alerts the Sun/Neptune alignment is contributing to a sensitive period of moods and feelings with a powerful self refining atmosphere that is laden with impressionable energy that may act as a stimulus for change, or for future actions of a life changing nature.

This is definitely an ideal moment to take stock of ones direction in life and also to weigh up ones priorities. However this may be hampered by a degree of confused or chaotic reasoning and this makes it important that any important decisions made at this time are compared against an atmosphere that may not be so full of impressionable thoughts and feelings.

Just such a time may not be long in coming as the next week sees the alignment of the Sun and Saturn. This will bring a degree of calculated action with strong discipline and reserve, but also noticeable limitations to ones inspiration and enthusiasm. However this is still some days in the future and for now it is the more finer and delicate mood traits of Neptune with their subtlety of experience that hold sway over moods and emotions.

Under these circumstances there may be inclinations towards idealistic aims of a strongly humanitarian nature or ideas for political or spiritual reform. Indeed there may well be an enhanced insight into spiritual or mystical awareness with increased imaginative powers or intuitive abilities that may verge on the psychic. Similarly there may be increased expressional ability that will be perfect for all artistic or creative pursuits.

Once again it should be stressed that although this atmosphere is not overtly aggressive it is possible that the increased sensitivity of this period could lead to heated exchanges or sudden arguments that fortunately are likely to be of short duration only. These may arise over points of principal or unfair criticism, or indeed any perceived slight or grievance which may easily cause a short outburst of a volatile nature.

For some days now the Earth’s atmosphere has been buffeted by strong Solar winds that have led to varying degrees of geomagnetic activity. As well as attractive displays of the Northern Lights this activity can also have subtle effects on moods and emotions. These may tend towards irritable or restless emotions with a poor sense of focus and concentration. In addition there may be neuralgic aches or pains and the possibility of headache, toothache, dizziness or palpitations. However once again it should be stressed that if these are a result of geomagnetic activity symptoms tend to be of short duration only and if they persist for longer than a few days are likely to be of some other origin.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 43% illuminated.
