29th February - 1st March 2008

With the exception of the current phase of the Moon, and a sudden upsurge in geomagnetic activity we see the same celestial conditions that have prevailed for the whole of this week. This has been characterised by the influence of two alignments that have remained consistent in their effects throughout this period.

The first of these alignments is the opposition between the Sun and Saturn. This has been active now for over two weeks and although beyond its peak is still capable of influencing moods and emotions. Likely traits to come from this include cool and calculating moods and feelings with extra caution and discipline.

On the other hand this alignment can also lead to lowered self confidence with diminished inspiration and enthusiasm. There is also the potential for melancholia and depression which at this time may be all the more likely since we are in a brief, but noticeable period of lowered or flattened moods that occur when the Moon is around 50% illuminated. The Sun/Saturn opposition also harbours the potential for a variety of general fears and phobias as well as creating conditions that may be ripe for chronic ill health. Read the rest of this entry »

28th - 29th February 2008

Once again the mood outlook is conditioned by the same broad circumstances that have characterised the last five or six days or so. More analytically this concerns two alignments - the opposition of the Sun and Saturn, and also the alignment between Mercury and Venus.

The only other notable variant during this time has been the changing phases of the Moon, which now at roughly 55% degrees illuminated can be said to be entering a period that we sometimes refer to as the ‘emotional doldrums.’ This characterises a brief but noticeable period of few great highs or lows and with limited or restrained emotional expression.

For some this may represent a perfect period to unwind and relax but for others it may come to be seen as a time of flattened moods and emotions prone to bouts of melancholia or depression and with lowered self confidence and enthusiasm. In addition there may be pessimistic thoughts and feelings making it hard to find the drive and determination to maintain ones daily routine. Read the rest of this entry »

27th - 28th February 2008

Yet again we find ourselves in a mood atmosphere that differs very little from that of 24 hours ago. Hence moods and emotions will have a consistent feel to them, although this is far from implying that this is an easy going atmosphere.

With regards to moods and feelings this period is heavily conditioned by two major alignments that frequent visitors to this page will already be quite familiar with.

The Sun/Saturn opposition, which has been active over the last few weeks is now just past its peak. Even so the alignment still remains influential with the likelihood of cool and calculating emotions along with the possibility of a reserved and cautious attitude. However this alignment can all too easily result in lowered self confidence, pessimism, melancholia and depression. In addition it may also invite a variety of general fears and phobias and create conditions that may be ripe for chronic ill health. Read the rest of this entry »

26th - 27th February 2008

Once more we see a mood pattern that except in a few minor details is broadly similar to the previous day. This reflects a period of relatively consistent moods and emotions that have prevailed for around the last four or five days. During this time the main, and largely only features of note have been the diminishing effects of the Full Moon along with the influence of two separate alignments.

The first and perhaps most influential of these alignments is the opposition between the Sun and Saturn. This has been active for some days now, and will remain influential for at least another six days to come.

The Sun/Saturn opposition mentioned above is now at a peak and its likely mood traits include disciplined expression with reserved and cautious moods along with a cool and calculating attitude that has helped to temper some of the other more extremes factors of this period. However it has also led to a certain lack of confidence, with diminished inspiration and enthusiasm and feelings that may all too easily verge towards melancholia and depression. In addition it may also invite a variety of general fears and phobias and create conditions that may be ripe for chronic ill health. Read the rest of this entry »

25th - 26th February 2008

Once again the mood for today, as well as the rest of the week shows a broad similarity with previous days with only the decline of the Full Moon to create any discernible difference.

For some however today may have displayed unusually aggressive or argumentative qualities with raised tempers and volatile expression. This could well be the effects of the diminishing Full Moon which incidentally was still powerful enough to cause an earthquake of 7.3 magnitude in Southern Sumatra. It may also be that during this period the Moon was also trine (120 degrees) to Mars. This sort of alignment is not something we often make mention of but when confronted by such a powerful atmosphere as today’s then it becomes extremely relevant.

Mercury is now coming to the height of its alignment with Venus, though the two will still remain aligned until the first week in April. Likely traits will incline towards feelings of charm and gentleness, along with a more agreeable and harmonious disposition as well as better inclined expressional abilities.
