24th - 25th January 2008

We are now just two or three days after the Full Moon and the mood continues to be tense and anxious with plenty of nervous restlessness. This could make it feel hard to settle, with poor concentration and reduced sense of focus.

A major contributory factor to this prolonged anxiety is likely to be the on going opposition between the Moon and both Mercury and Neptune which will be influential until around 16:00 GMT (11:00 EDT). This is creating highly sensitive moods and feelings with heightened awareness and perception, that for some may be just a little too much for comfort.

Under these circumstances fears and concerns will be exaggerated with notable apprehensions that in some cases will reach obsessional levels of attention. Added to this there may be forgetful and confused emotions with chaotic thoughts and trouble making up ones mind. There is also likely to be a reduced sense of responsibility with a loathing towards making important choices, that may not benefit from the best of consideration. Read the rest of this entry »

The next 36 hours till around 16:00 GMT (11:00 EDT) will see the Moon in opposition to both Mercury and Neptune, which are now both at the height of their joint alignment. This comes just a day after the Full Moon at the focus of what is one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments.

Inevitably this means that moods and emotions will be subject to a complex variety of influence with a contrast of moods that may to some extent cancel each other out.

The likely traits of the opposition between the Moon and Mercury and Neptune, will be to increase overall levels of sensitivity and alertness. 22nd - 23rd January 2008

Today is the day of the Full Moon and inevitably moods and emotions will be tense and anxious with increased nervous restlessness. In addition there is the potential for more aggressive and confrontational emotions with the likelihood of contentious encounters, arguments, irritability, or simmering resentments.

The reality is however that this is far from being a typical Full Moon setting as this period also sees itself at the focus of numerous planetary alignments, in one of the years most concentrated periods of celestial activity. This means that the Full Moon energy will to an extent be moderated or enhanced by these influences, in a complex interplay of forces that in some cases may tend to cancel each other out.

Two planetary alignments are now at a peak. These involve the direct alignment of Mercury and Neptune, and the opposition between Venus and Mars. Read the rest of this entry »

20th - 21st January 2008

We are now just a few days short of the first Full Moon of the year. Inevitably this will mean a period of tense nervous restlessness that comes during one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments.

It is precisely because of this that the current Full Moon may be slightly untypical, as it will be balanced and counter influenced by other forces that will accentuate or diminish some of its more potent traits. An example of this is the influence of Venus, which is now in opposition to Mars. This is now coming to a peak and likely to instil affections of a strongly passionate nature, so that feelings of sympathy and understanding may counter some of the more aggressive and demanding Full Moon traits. However this may lead to over passionate feelings with unhappy emotional relationships that may cause problems.

This period also has to contend with the fast developing alignment between Neptune and Mercury. This is now approaching a peak and its influence is likely to be towards extra sensitivity with an easily disturbed nervous system that may lead to confused thinking and absent-mindedness. In addition there may be refined and impressionable feelings with idealistic or imaginative impulses that will act as a boost for all expressional activities. Similarly there may be an enhanced degree of perception and awareness with long forgotten memories drifting back into consciousness. Read the rest of this entry »
