The current phase of the Moon still disposes towards an emotional atmosphere with few great highs or lows. This is to say there may be a lowered sense of zest and urgency so that problems and difficulties may not seem so acute as only a matter of days ago. On the other hand this could make it harder to get going with reduced enthusiasm that for some may turn towards melancholia and depression.

Under these circumstances there may be reduced motivation and sense of industry, and this will suit those who are able to take things at their own pace and place few demands on their time and efforts. Conversely however this may prove a highly challenging period for those on a tight deadline as time may tend to drift by with little seeming to have been done. As a result it may require extra discipline to fulfill ones daily routine as distracting influences may prove too much of a temptation.

Fortunately this atmosphere - while not particularly high on zestful energy is made reasonably agreeable by the continuing alignment between Venus and Jupiter. This is now coming to a peak and its likely traits include a more generous and expansive disposition with a better sense of understanding and sympathy for others. Feelings of friendship and affection may be high and there will be an improved awareness of harmony and things of beauty. However this may also lead to exaggerated or extravagant gestures with the possibility of the expenditure of large sums of money or reckless and foolhardy gestures.

Mercury still remains in alignment with Neptune and although the alignment has already peaked the pair still remain influential. Likely traits include sensitive moods and emotions with an easily disturbed nervous system. Also indicated are intuitive, idealistic and imaginative traits with increased levels of natural perception. Not so agreeable is a tendency towards confused or chaotic thinking with some absent-mindedness and a propensity towards vague fears and imaginings.

The coming days should see little variation in the present mood outlook though the latter part of the week will see a gradual turn to more zestful and tense filled emotions as we begin the rise to the next New Moon on February 7th.
