Unfortunately for reasons beyond our control it was not possible to bring this bulletin of the Mood Alert at the usual time.

We are now at the height of the alignment between Mercury and Neptune and their respective qualities will be well to the fore.

This means a continuation of the very acute emotional sensitivity that has characterised moods over the last few days adding a heightened degree of perception and awareness that some may find disturbing. For others this may mean raised intuition with subtlety of expression, or thoughts that may quickly range between chaos and confusion and a low threshold of concentration that could make it difficult to focus on the task in hand.

In addition there may be vague fears and imaginings that have the potential to veer towards intense preoccupation, doubts or misgivings and capable of producing vulnerable and indecisive emotions with a poor sense of responsibility or purpose. Indeed this may be a time when it feels difficult to reach important choices and decisions of a far reaching nature, should - if possible - be left for a better time.

As frequent visitors to this site will know - and as our specially prepared chart illustrates quite dramatically we are now in one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. This is creating a complex pattern of influence with clashing emotions and erratic behaviour that can alternate between very heightened and enthusiastic emotions and those of a considerably more subdued or depressive nature.

On the more positive side this mood atmosphere can offer plenty of nervous energy to on going schemes and ventures, but converting that energy into a disciplined force able to make best possible use of it may be difficult. Principally this may be through distracting influences or escapist tendencies, or a desire to take the edge off the atmosphere through eating or drinking more than usual.

For those who may be feeling a little battered from the intense mood atmosphere of the previous days it would be well to assure them that the coming week should see a turn to much less strident moods.
