25th - 26th January 2008

The Moon is now in opposition to Uranus and will remain so until around 06:00 GMT (01:00 EDT) on the 26th of January.

As frequent visitors to this site will know, any alignment between the Moon and Uranus is a time for the utmost caution, as it can lead to extreme moods and emotions. In turn this can translate into drastic solutions and remedies and Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of periods to be especially cautious of.

As well as anything Moon/Uranus alignments, whether as a direct alignment, or the present opposition, can result in out of character moods and feelings with bizarre, eccentric, or even perverse behaviour that may have permanent or long lasting consequences. In fact Moon/Uranus alignments are often to be seen in particularly brutal or seemingly inexplicable crimes and murders often involving good friends and acquaintances, who suddenly fall prey to one of the most mind shifting alignments that exists.

Other characteristics of Moon/Uranus alignments include galvanic, emotionally charged feelings with very changeable and restless emotions that may be laden with intense fears and preoccupation, as well as a highly accelerated sense of awareness.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that we are now only days beyond the Full Moon and something of the intense and anxious atmosphere it is capable of generating is still very much in evidence. This also includes the potential for aggressive moods and feelings with the possibility of arguments that in combination with the above mentioned opposition between the Moon and Uranus may result in a particularly turbulent emotional situation.

It should also be remembered that Mercury and Neptune remain in close alignment and this will tend to accentuate moods of a heightened and perceptive nature with the possibility of acute emotional sensitivity, contributing to a host of vague fears and imaginings. This alignment is well known for its intuitive, idealistic and imaginative qualities that should add colour to all expressional activities. However it may also lead to easily disturbed emotions with confused or chaotic moods as well as forgetfulness and a propensity towards dishonesty and absent-mindedness.

A sudden but short lived surge of geomagnetic activity may have resulted in an increased risk of neuralgic complaints or of suddenly feeling unwell for no discernible reason. This can lead to complaints such as headache or toothache as well as palpitations, dizziness or generally not feeling ones usual self. However it should be noted that if these sensations are a result of geomagnetic activity they will be of short duration only, and if persisting longer than a day or so are likely to be of some other origin.

Once again this is a highly complex emotional situation with quite definite tensions that for some will tend towards extremes. Whatever the case it is a situation that requires the greatest of care as difficult and impulsive emotions are likely to erupt out of nowhere.

Alert is 8. Moon 90% illuminated.
