The next 36 hours till around 16:00 GMT (11:00 EDT) will see the Moon in opposition to both Mercury and Neptune, which are now both at the height of their joint alignment. This comes just a day after the Full Moon at the focus of what is one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments.

Inevitably this means that moods and emotions will be subject to a complex variety of influence with a contrast of moods that may to some extent cancel each other out.

The likely traits of the opposition between the Moon and Mercury and Neptune, will be to increase overall levels of sensitivity and alertness. In fact for some there will be extreme emotional sensitivity with the possibility of confused or unstable emotions and a great desire for change and variety. There may also be a nervously restless disposition and a propensity towards worry and indecision.

The effects of Mercury will be towards powerful mental and nervous activity and in combination with the refined and responsive nature of Neptune this may lead to enhanced imaginative powers that amongst other things will boost all creative, artistic and expressional activities.

As this period is still very much under the influence of the Full Moon there exists a potential for more aggressive thoughts and emotions. These may easily incline towards petty resentments, irritability, and anger, and arguments may erupt upon the slightest provocation. This will be especially so where there is the consumption of alcohol as its effects, like those of caffeine will be magnified at this time.

Venus remains in opposition to Mars and as reported in previous alert bulletins its influence inclines to a powerful polarisation of emotions. These may be disposed to strong affections with a heavy sensual element that may lead to very passionate moods and feelings. At times these may be excessively inclined and have the potential for unhappy emotional relationships, but on another level may prove beneficial in ensuring improved co-operation with others.

All in all this is a highly complex mood situation that some may find difficult to cope with. So many contrasting emotions are bound to cause confusion and it may be hard to make up ones mind or concentrate on the task in hand.

Coming days will likely see more of a roller coaster of emotions as the Moon quickly transits between Venus, Saturn and Uranus.
