We are now just a few days short of the first Full Moon of the year. Inevitably this will mean a period of tense nervous restlessness that comes during one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments.
It is precisely because of this that the current Full Moon may be slightly untypical, as it will be balanced and counter influenced by other forces that will accentuate or diminish some of its more potent traits. An example of this is the influence of Venus, which is now in opposition to Mars. This is now coming to a peak and likely to instil affections of a strongly passionate nature, so that feelings of sympathy and understanding may counter some of the more aggressive and demanding Full Moon traits. However this may lead to over passionate feelings with unhappy emotional relationships that may cause problems.
This period also has to contend with the fast developing alignment between Neptune and Mercury. This is now approaching a peak and its influence is likely to be towards extra sensitivity with an easily disturbed nervous system that may lead to confused thinking and absent-mindedness. In addition there may be refined and impressionable feelings with idealistic or imaginative impulses that will act as a boost for all expressional activities. Similarly there may be an enhanced degree of perception and awareness with long forgotten memories drifting back into consciousness.
This period may also enhance spiritual or mystical insight with the potential for opening up new doors of personal awareness and discovery.
As with any Full Moon atmosphere there is the possibility of agitated or turbulent moods and emotions with the potential for contentious encounters, arguments or rebellious behaviour. Some of these tendencies will be toned down by some of the above mentioned factors but this remains a highly complex and potentially volatile atmosphere that deserves a high degree of attention.
This period may also be prone to notable tension and anxiety with the possibility of raised fears and apprehensions that for some may become acute and all consuming. Similarly there may be quite apparent doubts and misgivings with a lower degree of self confidence than would normally be the case around the time of the Full Moon.
A strong Solar wind continues to buffet the Earth’s atmosphere leading to attractive displays of aurora. This can also affect moods with a confused and irritable disposition, and also lead to neuralgic pains or short lived symptoms of a vague nature.
Coming days will likely see an increase in tensions as we come to the Full Moon, though once again a measure of balance will derive from some of the above mentioned alignments.
Alert is 7.5. Moon 94% illuminated.
