We are now just three days after the New Moon, and moods and emotions still fall within a heightened category: That is plenty of nervous anxiety and restlessness with a potential for extremes of thought and action.

Indeed some may find this atmosphere to be an uncomfortable mixture of very strident moods and emotions and those of an altogether more sedate emotional climate that may however bring depressive moods and feelings. In addition there may be a highly sensitive and vulnerable disposition with notable insecurity, as well as pessimistic inclinations or growing lack of self confidence. Under these circumstances everything may feel like an uphill task and completing ones daily routine may seem harder than usual.

Currently the Moon is transiting between Neptune and Uranus and this will contribute to a brief period of unsettled emotions with an increased level of awareness and perception. Some may deal with this better than others, but this may be a time when thoughts run riot, with an almost exhausting degree of worries, doubts and insecurity. This may eventually lead to fatigue and exhaustion and even trivial problems may acquire monumental proportions.

In the current climate it is understandable that some may wish to take the edge off the atmosphere by drinking or eating more than usual and here again there may be a tendency to go towards extremes.

It should also be remembered that we are now still just three days beyond the New Moon. This means there remains a potential for contentious encounters with the possibility of arguments and volatile expression. Indeed where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done and this could result in some extremely nasty incidents.

Towards the end of the week there should be the beginnings of a climb down in the intensity of moods and emotions but we still have to negotiate the Moon/Uranus alignment, on the 12th of January which is renowned for its extremes of mood and circumstance as well as its propensity for bizarre, unusual, or out of character behaviour.
