Tensions continue to rise ahead of the New Moon in just three or four days time. In fact for some this may already come to represent a highly challenging period with moods and emotions that could be extreme or approach crisis level.
There are several reasons for the above mentioned tension. One is the proximity of the New Moon but there are at least several others. For example yesterday was Solar Perigee, the day when the Earth’s orbit around the Sun is at its closest. This can create very definite tensions and is part of the reason why this time of the year is well known for its widespread unrest and turmoil; scenes which any reference to the daily news will currently more than aptly confirm.
Another source of tension is the continuing opposition between Mars and Jupiter - the planets of war - as they are sometimes referred to. Certain to say that when Mars and Jupiter are in direct alignment, or in opposition such as they are now, there is sure to be a period of highly turbulent moods and emotions: An atmosphere that will be sensitive to the merest spark that could ignite mayhem with very little provocation.
Another point of contention is the continuing opposition between Saturn and Uranus. This has been active for some months now and is creating a strangely polarised atmosphere. This can swiftly alternate from hard edged ambition and ruthlessness, with elements of cruel indifference, to a mood of more depressive and hesitant traits with reduced enthusiasm and poor self confidence.
A measure of balance to what is otherwise a highly volatile mood situation will come at around midnight GMT (19:00 EDT) This is likely to lead to a friendlier, affectionate and more sympathetic disposition with a greater degree of balance and understanding. In addition creative inclinations will be extremely well indicated providing highly favourable circumstances for all artistic and expressional pursuits. However these traits will have to contend with the above mentioned factors that if anything will guarantee a highly changeable mood atmosphere with rather colourful moods and dispositions.
The Moon/Venus alignment will remain active for around 10 hours until 10:00 GMT, or 05:00 EDT on the 5th of January 2008
Alert is 7.5. Moon 13% illuminated.
