The Sun now has Jupiter, Pluto, and Mercury all clustered within 3 degrees, and each of them in opposition to Mars in what is one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. Inevitably this close conjoinment of planets, as well as the long term opposition involving Uranus and Saturn is creating a highly complex mood situation in what is effectively the run up to the Full Moon in six days time, and also the Solstice in three to four days time.
With regards to moods and emotions it will be difficult to give a precise prediction, since the various permutations are almost limitless. Suffice it to say that the coming week has the potential to be extremely difficult with clashing emotions and firm contrasts, not to mention aggressive and argumentative moods and behaviour. For example Jupiter now lies in direct opposition to Mars and this will add fuel to typical Full Moon attributes involving belligerence and volatile expression. As a result passions will be easily aroused with a keen sense of like and dislike and this will translate into an intolerant or impatient disposition that may be extremely low on seasonal good will and understanding.
Some measure of restraint will come from the alignment of the Sun and Jupiter, providing a contrasting set of emotions that will incline more towards feelings of genuine friendship and sympathy with good humoured attitudes and a real joy for living that may add zest to any parties or family gatherings. Not so agreeable is the tendency of Jupiter towards exaggerated or extravagant gestures with its propensity towards unnecessary risks and carelessness, or a disposition to boisterous and boastful behaviour.
The Sun still remains aligned with Mercury and for some days now this has provided a strong zestful energy high on nervous and emotional restlessness. In turn this will contribute to alert and powerful emotions that for some may produce extra stress and anxiety with the possibility of ‘nervous episodes’ or panic attacks. As mentioned on numerous previous occasions Mercury will also enhance feelings of a mystical and spiritual nature, as well as all creative and expressional activities.
For several days now the Earth’s atmosphere has been buffeted by a strong Solar winds that have led to moderate levels of geomagnetic activity. There is some evidence indicating that such periods can result in over irritable moods and feelings with reduced concentration and confused thinking. In addition there may be trouble focusing on the task in hand and ones daily routine may be subject to some disruption. There is also the possibility of quite definite physical symptoms such as palpitations, neuralgic pains, or headaches and sudden toothache. This may be accompanied by fatigue or tiredness or a feeling of being washed out and lacking energy. As on other occasions of increased geomagnetic activity it should be stressed that any symptoms would be of short duration only, and if they persist are likely to be of some other cause.
It will be appreciated that the current emotional climate is one of considerable complexity and all of the above mentioned traits will be present to some degree or other. Some will tend to cancel each other out and others will be magnified according to circumstances. Hence an intensely convivial social gathering may seem even more enjoyable than usual, but conversely any source of conflict will also be magnified quite considerably. The problem is that one may quickly follow another, so that even the very happiest and enjoyable of occasions may swiftly turn sour over the most trifling of motives. Hence extra vigilance and restraint may be needed to avoid situations that in the days ahead have the potential to become extremely nasty.
