In this immediate post New Moon period moods and emotions still remain tense and one edge with a highly complex pattern of planetary alignments.

At the moment the Sun, Mercury, Pluto, Jupiter and the Moon are all to be found within around 10 degrees of one another, with Mars somewhat in opposition to each of them. Meanwhile Uranus remains in long term opposition to Saturn, and Uranus is also somewhat square to the Sun.

The principal features of this present alert are the alignment of the Sun and Mercury, and the alignment of the Moon with Jupiter, which in conjunction with the New Moon atmosphere still exerts considerable influence. Likely moods to result from this complex mixture include powerful mental and nervous activity with increased restlessness with a strong desire for change.

Under these circumstances it may prove difficult to settle with nervous upsets and a very alert sense of awareness. The effects of Jupiter mean the likelihood of generous and sympathetic moods with a more sociable and agreeable outlook. However there is also the risk of exaggerated gestures with the potential for risks, carelessness and unstable emotions. Some may find themselves subject to strong and penetrating moods and impressions capable of evoking highly emotional responses.

This atmosphere may form a pivotal time for taking stock of ones circumstances, and making whatever adjustments may be necessary. It also has the possibility for enhanced mystical and spiritual perception, with a depth of awareness that will approach that of psychic intuition. This will be perfect for artistic and creative activities, with extra inspiration and enthusiasm, making it possible to achieve highly original work of the greatest quality.

Whatever the activity there may be a certain lack of concentration that may lead to mistakes and errors. As a result tasks requiring great cerebral dexterity may struggle, and extra persistence may be required to stick to ones daily routine. In addition this atmosphere continues to be one of a highly distracting nature, so that jobs may be left half finished or less not completed to the best of ones ability.

Once again time may prove elusive and there may never seem enough of it to complete what needs to be done. Those on a tight deadline may feel impossibly pressured and happy will be those who can regulate their routine to one of few demands and pressures.

As with any New Moon situation there is always the risk of more aggressive moods and feelings with the possibility of argumentative behaviour, or volatile expression. Indeed where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done and although this is not an overtly confrontational atmosphere tempers may occasionally blaze brightly.

This is definitely a highly complex emotional setting with strong contrasts but also the chance to enjoy and entertain.
