This constitutes a rather nondescript emotional atmosphere with few great highs and lows. As a result it may be undemanding in terms of psychological burden, with few major concerns.

A certain lack of urgency could mean it becomes harder to get going and those on a tight deadline may feel themselves pressured. In the event time will seem to slip by with distressing haste and little may appear to have been done. In these circumstances, where a strict schedule is necessary, it is vital to maintain a disciplined attitude, or jobs and tasks will mount up, and eventually form a substantial problem.

Concentration will be far from optimal and it will prove difficult to focus on the task in hand. In addition temptations of an escapist nature may prove too hard to resist and this too could prove injurious to a well ordered routine. Happiest of all under the present circumstances will be those who are able to amble along at their own pace and able to place few demands on their time and efforts.

As mentioned in a previous alert this time of the year has its own separate moods and tensions, and in part way serves as an explanation as to why since the dawn of civilisation societies have chosen this time of the year to host some of their most favourite periods of festivity. In a way it acknowledges that the time towards the end of the year is difficult to maintain a proper routine of work and hence the need for the brightening influence of a major festive occasion.

It should be noted that we are now just a matter of four or five days away from the New Moon. As a result moods and emotions will soon begin to feel gripped by extra tension and urgency, with feelings of apprehension, anxiety, irritability and the potential for argumentative behaviour or conflict. As this coming mood front may arrive very swiftly it pays to be on guard against more strident emotions that may suddenly invade the disarmingly sedate nature of the present time.

Alert is 6.5. Moon 24% illuminated.
