Major earthquakes likely in week ahead

Over the next week as the Full Moon comes and goes, there is a considerable risk of major earthquakes in those areas vulnerable to such events. At times like this there may also be earthquakes in areas that rarely if ever experience earthquake activity.

Magnitude 6.3 Northern Sumatra.

Magnitutde 6.7 Eastern New Guinea.

Magnitude 6.3 Solomon Islands.

Magnitude 6.2 Kermadec Islands.

Magnitude 6.3 North Coast of Chile.
