With the face of the Moon only around 2% illuminated there is still enough of a New Moon atmosphere to cause problems.
As a result there may be noticeable degree of restlessness with some nervous tension and anxiety. Problems may tend to be exaggerated and assume undue proportions. In addition there may be easily aroused passions and concerns with generalised apprehension and lack of concentration. Consequently it may feel harder to get going and ones thoughts may easily be distracted. Hence ones daily routine may be disrupted by other more tempting alternatives and this atmosphere may weigh heavy in terms of escapist tendencies.
On the other hand there may be a definite sense of ambition with the desire to get things done but this may lack the discipline and perseverance to overcome some of the more limiting aspects of this mood, which include the lack of focus mentioned above. Consequently this may come to be a frustrating period with the desire to embark on new schemes and ventures but with so many impediments that make forward progress difficult.
One of the principal elements of this current alert concerns the alignment of the Moon and Jupiter. This will begin to come to a peak around 19:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) and will last for around 10 hours or so.
Likely traits will include a more generous and sympathetic disposition with a sociable and friendly outlook. This means a self expansive mood with an aptitude for enthusiastic expression and good entertainment. However there is also the potential for over exaggerated or extravagant gestures, with careless and unstable emotions, as well as an unhealthy propensity for risk taking. Naturally these will be all the more fuelled by the consumption of alcohol whose effects will in any case continue to be heightened by the current phase of the Moon. The result is a rather heady mixture with the possibility of wild fun and games, but also the potential for much more objectionable behaviour that has the risk of getting out of hand.
As will be seen from the above mentioned details the current mood constitutes a complex mixture of emotions, and although these are by no means all unpleasant there is the risk of turbulent, bewildering, or otherwise unpredictable moods that will be nothing if not varied.
Alert is 7.5. Moon 4% illuminated.
