We are now just a few days short of the New Moon which is leading to an increase in tensions and anxiety.

As a result moods and emotions will be very much on edge with generalised nervous restlessness that could make it difficult to settle. In addition concentration may prove difficult with the likelihood of carelessness, mistakes and accidents. It will also mean that focusing on ones daily schedule could seem harder than usual with distractions and time wasting alternatives that can quickly eat up ones time.

Inevitably under these circumstances there will also be an increase in apprehension and anxiety with sensitive and vulnerable emotions that for some could prove to be extremely unsettling.

As with any New Moon situation there is a strong possibility of aggressive or belligerent behaviour with a confrontational or argumentative attitude. Hostility or simmering resentment are also likely with the potential for irritability, conflict and mental confusion.

Another principal feature of this period, and one that will tend to raise the general atmosphere still further is the alignment of the Moon with Mercury. This will commence around 20:00 GMT (15:00 EDT) and will last for around 18 hours. Likely mood traits to result from this will be powerful mental and nervous activity. Inevitably this will result in a high degree of restlessness with an enhanced degree of receptivity and perception. This may also prompt a great desire for change and variety and could influence one to take a firm look at ones present circumstances and sense of direction. It should be noted however that one should decline from making major decisions based on these observations until they are balanced against a slightly less charged emotional atmosphere.

Moon/Mercury alignments are also noted for their worrying or apprehensive moods that may greatly exaggerate all problems and difficulties. Working in tandem with the already charged New Moon atmosphere it will be seen that this present emotional climate has all the ingredients for a highly testing couple of days.

On the more positive side there is plenty of nervous energy around to give a boost to ongoing schemes and ventures, though physical tasks will be preferred over those requiring high mental dexterity.
