While this is a noticeably less strident atmosphere than of late there is still enough friction to cause problems.

Usually with this phase of the Moon there will be something broadly comparable to the emotional doldrums with few great highs or lows. However on this occasion the Moon is in opposition to Neptune and remains so until around 19:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) This is likely to produce acute emotional sensitivity, with the risk of agitated or turbulent emotions. These will be balanced by the current phase of the Moon, though this may simply mean that feelings tend towards the depressive or pessimistic side of the emotional spectrum. In addition there may be unstable or unbalanced feelings with confused and chaotic thinking.

Under these circumstances concentration may be far from optimal and there will be problems of focus or keeping to the task in hand. The strident post Full Moon atmosphere of previous days at last shows signs of relenting and moods and emotions should see a definite climb down from the peaks of the last week or so.

Even so there is still need to be wary. Where one mood atmosphere begins to evaporate another takes it place, and the next 36 hours, until around 19:00 GMT (14:00 EDT) on the 30th of November will be dominated by the opposition between the Moon and Neptune.

Likely traits to result from the Moon/Neptune opposition include refined and responsive moods and emotions, with imaginative or artistic inclinations. However there will also be a propensity towards actute emotional sensitivity, with unstable emotions, together with confused or chaotic thought processes. The early part of this alert bulletin until around 10:00 GMT, will be conditioned by the remaining effects of the alignment between the Moon and Mars. This means increased aggression and irritability, with easily aroused passions that can give way to argumentative moods and inclinations. It also means added nervous restlessness with some anxiety and tension.

As the effects of this alignment gradually begin to dissipate feelings may begin to feel a little more relaxed than of late with a more easy going atmosphere. However there will still need to be wary as awkward and unsettling moods will still be in evidence. These may not be easy to describe, but most people will be familiar with the sort of emotional atmosphere where getting going is harder than usual and decisions, especially those of an important nature are shunned and avoided. Around four days ago we warned that this current Full Moon period would be prone to major earthquakes and around the world these fears were not slow to materialise.

In fact there have been at least six major quakes within that time period and although no major humanitarian disasters resulted from this activity, it illustrates yet again how closely related earthquakes are to the various phases of the Moon and particularly the Full and New Moon.

Below is a list of just some of the numerous major quakes that have occurred over the last four days or so.

Magnitude 6.7 Indonesia.

Magnitude 6.8 Southern Sumatra.

Magnitude 6.3 Northern Sumatra.

Magnitutde 6.7 Eastern New Guinea.

Magnitude 6.3 Solomon Islands.

Magnitude 6.2 Kermadec Islands.

Magnitude 6.3 North Coast of Chile.

We are now just several days after the Full Moon and moods and emotions continue to be fuelled by increased nervous restlessness and anxiety. In addition we are now entering a short but intense period of further emotional turbulence as a result of numerous potent planetary alignments.

To place things in perspective the Moon is now in opposition to Jupiter and will remain so until around 18:00 GMT, or 13:00 EDT. Although this is likely to result in more generous and self expansive moods and feelings, with greater sympathy and sociability, it is also likely to result in exaggerated behaviour, with careless or unstable emotions, or extravagant gestures of a very spontaneous nature. As well as anything this may give way to foolhardy traits and feelings, with an adventurous or reckless disposition that may involve unnecessary risks.

The overall mood situation will become even more contentious with the alignment of the Moon and Mars. This will begin to become active around 22:00 GMT, or 17:00 EDT and the pair will be closely aligned for around 15 hours.
