We are now just a few days short of the Full Moon. As a result moods and emotions will incline towards anxiety, tension and restlessness, with impatient or aggressive tendencies. In addition there may be apprehension and concern with an increased sense of awareness.

For some this may come as a welcome boost to on going schemes and ventures, offering energy and drive, not to mention determination to succeed. It can also lead to intense pleasure and sense of fulfilment with rewarding activities that may bring a nice glow of personal achievement. However for others who for various reasons may find themselves under-employed, or without any major sense of purpose this could prove to be a difficult and challenging period as the intense energy of this time requires a definite outlet. We are now just two or three days away from the Full Moon according to time zones, and this month the Full Moon will seem even larger than usual. This is no illusion. In its monthly phase cycle the Moon’s distance from the Earth varies quite considerably and this Full Moon coincides with Lunar Perigee, or the date when the Moon is closest to the Earth for this month.

As well as seeming larger it is also likely that the effects of the Moon on moods and emotions will also be magnified. Certainly the larger Moon sees higher than normal tides and this is bound to be the case with moods. We are now entering a highly complex period of planetary alignments which is reflected by a corresponding rise in tensions and anxiety, as well as complex and at times clashing emotions.

A principal feature of this period has to be the impending Full Moon which, depending on the various time zones, is now just over three or four days away. This will inevitably increase levels of tension and anxiety and in conjunction with other alignments means that this period has the potential for extremely unsettling moods and emotions.

Of particular concern to this immediate alert period is the alignment between the Moon and Uranus. This is one of the most contentious periods on the monthly calendar and Moon/Uranus alignments have always been renowned for extreme moods and behaviour. This means a heightened sense of awareness with forceful emotions that will be capable of evoking a whole host of different moods and feelings. This will range from increased aggression, irritability and impatience, to feelings of insecurity, worry and apprehension.

The above mentioned moods will all be heightened or tempered by numerous important planetary alignments. These include the fast developing alignment between the Sun and Mercury. This will give rise to powerful mental and emotional impulses with intuitive impressions that may verge on the psychic. In addition there may be strong creative energy so that artistic talents will flourish to the best of their ability. Coming days, if not this present time will see a noticeable upsurge in more forceful and strident emotions. It will also see a return to a more concentrated period of planetary alignments, with some important mood influencing conjunctions that in one instance will be with us for some months to come.

The most dominant feature of the next week is the impending Full Moon on the 26th of the month. Although this is still six days away its first effects will soon begin to make themselves known and in tandem with some notable Lunar alignments will make the coming week one of noticeable tension.

For the moment moods inhabit a transitional phase between a sedate and easy going atmosphere to one of growing tension and anxiety. With regards the next 24 hours this will tend to be dominated by the alignment between the Moon and Neptune. This will begin to come to a peak around 21:00 GMT (17:00 EDT) and will last for approximately 14 hours. Likely traits to result from this include refined and responsive moods but with a tendency towards acute emotional sensitivity with confused, chaotic, or otherwise unstable moods and feelings. It can also lead to neurotic inclinations with deceitful or escapist behaviour.
