We are now entering a highly complex period of planetary alignments which is reflected by a corresponding rise in tensions and anxiety, as well as complex and at times clashing emotions.

A principal feature of this period has to be the impending Full Moon which, depending on the various time zones, is now just over three or four days away. This will inevitably increase levels of tension and anxiety and in conjunction with other alignments means that this period has the potential for extremely unsettling moods and emotions.

Of particular concern to this immediate alert period is the alignment between the Moon and Uranus. This is one of the most contentious periods on the monthly calendar and Moon/Uranus alignments have always been renowned for extreme moods and behaviour. Indeed many of the most heinous murders ever recorded have a definite link to this alignment.

As such this constitutes a period worthy of extreme attention as moods can swiftly degenerate into violent or disruptive behaviour with little restraint in what is said or done. This may also cause upheaval within the family setting with the possibility of arguments or volatile outbursts. In addition there may be bizarre, eccentric, perverse, or out of character moods and behaviour that may later cause embarrassment or consequences that may have repercussions for some time to come.

The Moon/Uranus alignment comes to a peak around 18:00 GMT (13:00 EDT) and will remain closely aligned for a period of around 13 hours. Fortunately the effects of this months Moon/Uranus alignment will be balanced by the fact that Uranus is also in opposition to Saturn at this time and means that the Moon also shares this alignment.

So far as moods are concerned this means a degree of self discipline that will offset the more extreme nature of Uranus. However this may also lead to deeply self conscious moods and emotions with shy and reserved actions that may be inhibited or filled with fear or uncertainty. In addition this opposition may lead to depressive moods and emotions with some melancholia and lack of confidence. In reality these moods will tend to balance each other out but in the appropriate circumstances it is likely that one or other of these moods will predominate at the expense of the other.

Another feature of this period is the alignment of the Sun and Mercury which is also now coming to a peak. As outlined numerous times already this has been contributing to an atmosphere of heightened emotional and nervous activity with powerful feelings together with good expressional abilities. This will be especially useful for creative or artistic endeavours as there will be an extra degree of inspired imagination to draw upon. In addition this alignment may enhance thoughts of a spiritual or mystical nature and open up doors of personal enlightenment that may otherwise have remained undiscovered.
