With the Moon now 62% illuminated this is habitually the period in the Lunar cycle when there is a time of few great highs or lows. While this may be an approximation of this present time there is still need to be wary.

In many ways this is a cross over period - a time of transition between two fundamentally different atmospheres. One is of the strident post Full Moon atmosphere of previous days, and the other is an altogether more sedate and easy going mood period that is broadly reminiscent of the emotional doldrums. As a result there may be a balancing out of emotions with restrained or limited inspiration and enthusiasm, together with moods of a noticeably more potent nature. These more forceful emotions will be more than evident if problems develop as there may be a sharp and acute nature to feelings, with a restless outlook that could cause upsets and unease. The principal feature of this current alert is the alignment of the Moon and Mars. This will commence around 10:00 GMT (05:00 EDT) and will stay influential for around 14 hours.

Although of short lived duration Moon/Mars alignments are always important mood influencing periods and need to be taken seriously. Likely traits will include easily aroused passions and emotions with a keen sense of like and dislike. In addition there may be restless or intolerant moods that may be quick to anger with the likelihood of belligerent or short tempered responses.

Under these circumstances there is the potential for arguments or contentious encounters as well as a firm sense of personal determination. This means that on going schemes and ventures may benefit from a robust and zestful atmosphere, though meetings and discussions may be disrupted by a division of opinion that may be very strongly argued. Till around 22:00 hours GMT (17:00 EDT) the Moon will be in opposition to Jupiter.

This is likely to create a generous, sympathetic and self expansive disposition, together with sociable moods and feelings. However there may also be exaggerated or extravagant behaviour with careless or unstable emotions. This could for example lead to expensive purchases or a taste for adventure with risky ventures and little thought for the consequences. On the other hand social occasions will be greatly boosted with a friendly and amicable environment that will act as an aid to good enjoyment and entertainment.

We must not forget that we are now just three days beyond the Full Moon and although moods will not be quite as strident as several days ago there will still be enough nervous energy to cause problems. This could mean apprehensively inclined moods and emotions with subtle fears and concerns. Although moods and emotions are not as tense as only just a few days ago there is still need to be cautious. We are now only several days beyond the Full Moon and feelings are still likely to be stretched and subject to worry and apprehension.

Under these circumstances problems are likely to be magnified and assume undue proportions. In addition there may be subtle fears and anxieties of an indistinct nature. On the other hand there may not be the same intense nature to emotions that characterised moods over previous days and the coming week will see an even greater decline in their intensity.

As with any immediate post Full Moon environment there is the potential for contentious encounters, arguments and volatile expression. These will become all the more likely with the consumption of alcohol and even moderate quantities may be capable of releasing quite strong emotions. On the more positive side there will still be enough zest and nervous energy to give impetus to on going schemes and ventures and this atmosphere may also give rise to fresh new ideas that may be of immense future importance. Today is the day of the Full Moon and tensions will be running high. In addition we have the influence of numerous planetary alignments that will add further influence to the effects of the Full Moon and thus make it even more laden with nervously inclined moods and emotions.

As a result there may be varying degrees of worry and anxiety with generalised fears and apprehensions that for some may be of an acute variety.
