There are two dominant features of this present alert. One is the impending Full Moon which is now just over a day away, and the other is the alignment between Uranus and the Moon.

Moon/Uranus alignments (which today occurs from 13:00 GMT, or 08:00 EDT, and lasts for 12 hours) are amongst the most disruptive features of the average month, and deserve a special warning. It is for example a matter of record that many of the most lurid murders occur around the time of Moon/Uranus alignments, and this months alignment is made even more forceful by the proximity of the Full Moon.

As a result feelings may be very much on edge with changeable and restless emotions, and over-excitable feelings that will not easily be placated. In addition there may be a sense of galvanic energy with high-strung feelings and a tendency towards the drastic or highly dramatic. This may involve upheavals in family life or the work place with rebellious or disruptive attitudes and a tendency towards volatile expression or contentious encounters.

Under these circumstances there may also be a disposition to bizarre or eccentric moods with out of character thoughts and emotions. These can easily tend towards extremes and with some vulnerable personalities can make the most heinous of acts seem almost ordinary. For example there are numerous examples of friends suddenly murdering each other under the influence of Moon/Uranus alignments, because it suddenly seemed like the “right thing to do.”

Fortunately most people’s experience will not tend towards these extremes, but this period still needs the greatest of care as powerful mood altering properties will still be very much in evidence.

A moderating feature of this period is the opposition between Venus and Neptune, which is still very influential and has been exerting influence for well over two weeks. Frequent visitors to this site will know that its likely traits include a better balance of moods and emotions with refined and more delicate feelings. These can tend towards sensitive, sentimental, or idealistic impressions, but also an easy sense of disillusionment or disappointment. There may also be a tendency towards deceit or self deception with the possibility that ones judgement may not be as reliable as it usually is.

All in all this an atmosphere that is subject to extremes of forces and could give rise to a highly uncomfortable if not explosive period of moods and emotions.The moderating factors outlined above will exert some balance, though from noon GMT, there will be a significantly more contentious atmosphere to deal with.

It should be warned that the effects of alcohol and caffeine will be heightened at this time, and even moderate quantities will be capable of affecting moods to a significant extent.
