We are now just a few days short of the Full Moon. Inevitably this will mean more intense moods and feelings with some anxiety and tension. In addition there is likely to be an atmosphere laden with petty fears and preoccupation, so that even moderate problems will seem to be magnified out of all proportion.

As with any Full Moon situation there will also be an increase in nervous restlessness and the possibility of aggressive moods and emotions. Indeed there is a definite potential for arguments and contentious encounters and these may erupt quite spontaneously from the most trivial of motives, or even just for the sake of it.

One influence of control at this time will come from the opposition between the Moon and Saturn. This will be influential for just over 15 hours and may lead to more restrained or restricted emotions that will tend to tone down some of the more powerful Full Moon emotions. However this will only be at the expense of some melancholia or depression, with reduced enthusiasm and inspiration. This may also lead to lowered self esteem and confidence, and it may feel harder to get going.

Yet another source of balance and control is the on going opposition between Venus and Neptune. This has been active for some time now and is currently at a peak. Likely traits include heightened sensitivity with delicate or refined moods and feelings, with a better appreciation of harmony and beauty. This may instil thoughts and feelings inclined towards sentimentality or idealism, but may also be disposed to easy disappointment of disillusionment.

It will readily be appreciated that although this is an immediate Full Moon atmosphere, some of its more extreme traits will be toned down by the factors mentioned above. However some of these may prove difficult in themselves with awkward and challenging emotions with increased awareness and sensitivity.

It is also worth pointing out that tomorrow sees the alignment of the Moon with Uranus, which at any time of the month is likely to produce extreme moods and feelings, but in conjunction with the impending Full Moon is sure to be made all the more powerful.
