During this phase of the Lunar cycle there is usually a brief period with few great highs or lows and broadly equivalent to the emotional doldrums.

To some extent this sums up this present time, as we are now in a period with relatively few planetary alignments. In fact there is now only the one: That is the slow, on going, opposition between Venus and Neptune. As frequent visitors to this site will know this has been contributing to an atmosphere of sensitive and refined emotions with a better balance of harmony and rhythm. This may also result in softer and more rounded thoughts with sentimental or idealistic inclinations and the likelihood of reformative ideas and actions. Unfortunately it can also contribute to an atmosphere of self deluded impressions, deceit, and over sensitive emotions.

Under these circumstances disappointments will be more keenly felt and although there may be a natural push to embark on new schemes and ventures, a sense of easy disillusionment may thwart forward progress.

This phase of the Moon can sometimes result in feelings of a depressed or pessimistic nature with subtle doubts and fears. In addition it may feel harder to get going with less spark of enthusiasm, and less of a persevering nature to carry one through the difficult times. Some vestiges of irritability, or even hostility may be evident though these will not burn as fiercely as earlier in the week.

All in all this is a fairly nondescript atmosphere, with reduced drive and enthusiasm, as well as a meandering attitude towards work that will see one tempted by more stimulating alternatives.
