Extraordinary period of earthquake activity.

Only days ago (as will be seen from the post below) we issued a warning that this period would likely see extremes of earthquake activity. These are especially frequent around the time of either the New Moon or the Full Moon, and in tandem with numerous potent planetary alignments we felt certain that this period would witness serious earthquake activity.

However as things turned out not even we were prepared for the sheer magnitude of events that have unfolded over the last 48 hours. Since then there have been at least two gigantic earthquakes in excess of 8 magnitude, including a massive 8.4 quake that struck areas of Southern Sumatra on the 12th of September. Following this - elsewhere, and in separate incidents - there have been at least three quakes above 7 magnitude in a period of geological turmoil that is without precedent since we began Mood Alert over four years ago.

It may be worth stressing that the concentration of so many massive earthquakes within so short a period may also have important mood implications, since the shock waves from these events travel around the world. With so many occurring together this will create a vibrational energy, that although imperceptible to most people, will definitely be capable of causing subtle emotional or physical changes. This may result in feelings of unease or lack of concentration, with medical symptoms such as unexplained dizziness, nausea, or fatigue.

At this point it is worth pointing out that the shock wave from the earthquake that led to the powerful Tsunami that devastated areas of South East Asia in December 2004 circled the planet for at least three weeks and was just about audible to those with sensitive hearing.

Above all this latest spate of earthquakes illustrates how closely intertwined is the relationship between celestial influence and events here on Earth. For its part established science is slow to accept this evidence, but time after time it can be shown that earthquakes and celestial phenomena go hand in hand.

13th - 14th September 2007

Just several days after the New Moon and moods are still somewhat tense and anxious. Indeed for some this may prove to be a highly uncomfortable emotional atmosphere that may be capable of generating extremes of mood and feeling, that as well as anything may be related to a particularly powerful spate of earthquakes in Southern Sumatra and elsewhere over the last 48 hours.

Under these circumstances there is a strong likelihood that those susceptible to sensitive atmospheres may find themselves challenged by powerful emotions that may be difficult to contend with.

Another feature of this period is the possibility of pronounced fears and apprehensions that may even exist where there is no obvious cause for such concerns. As a result all problems may seem magnified with a desperate, sometimes despairing feeling of pessimism and isolation. There is also need to guard against irritable moods and inclinations that may be disposed to argumentative behaviour or aggressive outbursts that have the potential to become extremely heated or even violent. These will be made all the more likely by the consumption of even moderate quantities of alcohol whose effects will be magnified at this time. Read the rest of this entry »
