Major earthquakes likely.

A feature of the next week is the likelihood of major earthquakes in those areas of the world susceptible to such events. We have often highlighted the fact that both the Full Moon and New Moon periods are especially prone to major earthquake activity and many of the largest recorded earthquakes occur almost exclusively around these periods. Indeed this present New Moon period has not been slow to register its first major quake, a 6.8 magnitude event off the coast of Colombia.

The reality is that the coming week harbours the risk for numerous other quakes of equal if not greater magnitude, and we will give notice of these events as and when they occur.

10th - 11th September 2007

We are now just a day short of the New Moon. In addition we are also approaching the height of the opposition between the Sun and Uranus. As a result moods and emotions will be very much on edge with tense nervous energy together with restless thoughts and feelings.

During the initial stages of this alert period (around five hours from 09:00 GMT, or 04:00 EDT) the effects of Saturn, aligned to the Moon will still generate enough control and restraint to moderate moods and feelings and prevent them from becoming too extreme. Beyond this time period however there is a distinct possibility of extreme moods and feelings, with the possibility of eccentric, bizarre, or out of character moods and emotions. In addition feelings will all be heightened and on edge with an emphasis on the drastic or dramatic.

Under these circumstances there may be friction within relationships and the potential for arguments that may quickly spiral out of all control. This tension can also manifest in irritable and impatient gestures with short tempered outbursts and a generally highly strung attitude. It cannot be too highly emphasised that this atmosphere is capable of the most exacting feelings, and although it may at first appear of no great concern, difficult circumstances can quickly emerge as if from nowhere.
