This is an atmosphere that will all too easily tend towards extremes. We are now just two days short of the New Moon and we are also approaching the height of the opposition between the Sun and Uranus. As a result moods and emotions will be very much on edge with stretched feelings and irritable, short tempered gestures.

Under these circumstances even the most minor provocation may give rise to a major conflict and for some there will be a definite desire to argue even if only for the sake of it. This may cause friction within relationships, or indeed any communication with others, with an emphasis on the drastic and extreme. Indeed where arguments develop there will be little restraint in what is said or done, and any source of conflict has the potential to become extremely bitter.

Another element of this mood is that it may give rise to bizarre, eccentric, or out of character moods and emotions with a pronounced element of escapism.

Moods will be even further heightened by the developing opposition between Venus and Neptune. Although this is still not at its peak it will contribute towards an atmosphere of acute emotional sensitivity with very heightened moods and feelings. There will also be some measure of balance and control, but this will all too easily become submerged below other more powerful emotions.

A greater measure of control and discipline will come from the impending alignment between the Moon and Saturn. This will come to a peak around 21:00 (16:00 EDT) and will last for around 12 hours. Likely traits will include reserved or inhibited moods with a sense of easy disillusionment or lack of self confidence. This can give way to depression or melancholia, and since the Moon is also in opposition to Neptune at this time there will also be acute emotional sensitivity.

The reality is that many of the traits mentioned above will be balanced by others of an opposite nature, though for the first part of this alert, it is the more strident and belligerent elements that will be more apparent. These may result in extremes of circumstance with powerful emotions of an uncomfortable nature.
