Powerful celestial forces dominate the mood outlook for the next few days. For example we are only just around three days short of the New Moon - habitually a time of sharpened moods and feelings with raised anxiety and tension, together with increased nervous restlessness.

This month the New Moon atmosphere will seem even more acute with the opposition of the Sun and Uranus, which is now coming to a peak. As mentioned in previous alerts this can result in rebellious or argumentative moods with the possibility of extremes of experience. It can also lead to bizarre, or eccentric behaviour with out of character moods and feelings. As a result there is the chance of serious friction within relationships with an emphasis on the drastic or highly dramatic. Fortunately other factors of this present celestial setting will prevent these feelings from becoming too acute, but they will still be a force to be reckoned with.

A softening influence may come from the developing opposition between Venus and Neptune. This is likely to bring more balanced and harmonious feelings, but with a tendency towards deceit and self deception. It may also evoke sensitive or sentimental emotions with idealistic traits and aspirations. A probable influence of this may be a strong attraction towards artistic pursuits and particularly music.

Today Venus is also in alignment with the Moon, and will remain so for around the next 24 hours until around 06:00 GMT on the 9th of September (01:00 EDT). This may lead to a more friendly, affectionate, and sociable disposition, with greater understanding and an improved sense of emotional balance. At the same time however the Moon is also in opposition to Neptune, and this will lead to extreme emotional sensitivity, with the possibility of confused or chaotic emotions that may result in doubts, or hesitant, unsure behaviour. Consequently there may be trouble making up ones mind and even when one has there may be severe reservations that one has made the right choice.

Just to complicate matters even further there is the effects of the opposition between Mars and Jupiter to take into account. This has been active for several weeks now and has contributed a degree of zest and aggression. For some this may have added spice to their lives with an added sense of enjoyment, but also the risk of excess, or the potential for exaggerated, over adventurous inclinations with a certain sense of self superiority. It can also result in belligerent and confrontational emotions with the risk of arguments and volatile expression.

It will be seen from the above mentioned traits that this period continues to be one of supreme complexity with clashing moods and emotions, that as much as anything have the power to confuse and perplex. The influence of Venus will certainly be strong and preserve an element of harmony, but equally strong will be the eccentricity and extreme nature of Uranus, with its potential for conflict and strife. Somewhere in between there is the restless energy of the New Moon, and thrown all together represents an atmosphere that requires the greatest of vigilance and attention.
