We are now just four days away from the New Moon, with a consequent rise in overall tension and anxiety. As a result feelings may be heightened and on edge with an increased sense of awareness. This may give rise to an atmosphere prone to worries and concerns with notable apprehensions that for some may be of an extreme nature.

This months New Moon will be further heightened by the developing opposition between the Sun and Uranus which is now coming to a peak. As mentioned on previous occasions this is likely to create a disruptive or rebellious atmosphere with powerful deviations from the norm. This could lead to a particularly eventful time with the possibility of spectacular changes, with an emphasis on the dramatic and the very drastic.

Under these circumstances there will be a tendency towards, bizarre, eccentric, or out of character moods and emotions, and also an attraction towards escapism in its limitless forms. A noticeable tone of aggression may be apparent, with irritable moods and behaviour, together with more confrontational attitudes that may easily spill over into arguments or even physical violence. Indeed where arguments develop these may quickly turn extremely nasty with very little restrain in what is said or done.

These inclinations will be all the more apparent where there is the consumption of alcohol whose effects will be magnified, along with those of caffeine, so that even moderate consumption may lead to noticeably altered moods and feelings. In the case of caffeine this may result in added stress and anxiety with the possibility of nervous episodes, or panic attacks in those prone to them.

The aggressive elements of this alert pattern will be further enhanced by the continuing opposition between Mars and Jupiter. This can also contribute to more zestful emotions with a definite enjoyment of life, but where there is an existing propensity towards aggression - such as now - these feelings of belligerence will be rendered all the more forceful.

As we have mentioned in previous alert bulletins, this atmosphere is prone to strong contrasts, and changes of emotion, and in this case the tempering influence is likely to come from the developing opposition between Venus and Neptune. This can bring a better sense of balance and harmony with idealistic or sentimental emotions as well as a more refined set of values. However it can also lead to confusion or easy disillusionment. It means that although some elements of this alert pattern will incline towards enthusiastic endeavour, the appearance of even moderate problems will pose a stern test of ones discipline and resolve.

Coming days should see a definite rise in tensions and anxiety with the possibility of extremes of emotion, and will constitute a period that will require the greatest of vigilance.
