We are now only just a few days after the Full Moon and moods and emotions continue to be tense and on edge. In addition there will be plenty of nervous restlessness with subtle fears and apprehensions.

For some this may still prove to be a highly challenging atmosphere with difficult moods and a tendency towards extremes of thought and emotion. Under these circumstances there may be a certain lack of concentration, indecision, or trouble in making up ones mind . As well as this there is likely to be an easy sense of forgetfulness, disillusionment or disappointment over even the most trivial of setbacks. Criticism will be doubly stinging and low self esteem and enthusiasm may contribute to varying levels of depression or melancholia. Consequently forward progress may seem difficult and it could prove harder to get going.

Venus still remains in opposition to Neptune and for some weeks now this has been contributing a source of restraint to what may otherwise have been highly volatile moods and emotions. This has brought sensitive and delicate feelings with a better sense of harmony and rhythm, along with sentimental reflection, idealism and a feeling for art and things of beauty.

One of the principal features of this present period is a high Solar wind stream that has been buffeting the Earth’s atmosphere over the last few days. This has resulted in a sudden surge in levels of geomagnetic activity, which in turn is capable of quite definite mood effects.

While not fully documented or explored these effects can range from feeling washed out and exhausted with headache or neuralgic symptoms, resembling a hangover. This may be accompanied by irritable moods and feelings and a general lack of focus and concentration. In general some people may feel far from their best, but these effects never last for long and generally wear off within 24 hours, depending on the duration of the geomagnetic activity.

Massive earthquake comes true to form.

Only a matter of days ago we warned that the immediate period following the Full Moon was extremely vulnerable to large earthquakes, and for yet one more month this is exactly the way it turned out with a massive 7.4 earthquake that struck the remote Mariana Islands region on the 28th of September. Once again it illustrates that amazing connection between Lunar phases and events here on Earth: a connection that bizarrely enough was more widely known and accepted by ancient societies than we do today.

This is still very much a Full Moon atmosphere with tension and anxiety as well as restless and impatient moods and gestures.

As a result feelings may be very much on edge and this tendency towards nervous agitation may be made all the more apparent by the opposition of the Moon with Mercury. This is likely to create sensitive and alert moods and feelings with a strong need for variety and change. As well as this there may be a tendency towards needless worry and concern with strong apprehensions, indecision and the likelihood of poor memory and concentration.

As with any Full Moon situation there is also likely to be a tendency towards aggressive thoughts and behaviour with a reduced threshold of tolerance as well as impatient gestures and attitudes. This may easily lead to arguments, contentious encounters and volatile expression, and the chances of these occurring will be made all the more likely by the consumption of alcohol whose effects will now be magnified. Today is the day of the Full Moon and inevitably feelings will be tense and nervous with heightened awareness and sensitivity. In addition there will be a noticeable degree of nervous restlessness with impatient moods and gestures and a low order of concentration.

As a result it may prove difficult to keep to ones normal schedule and tasks may be left unfinished as temptations of a more instantly rewarding variety become too difficult to resist. There will also be an atmosphere of generalised fears and concerns with increased apprehension and nervousness. Some of these fears may be of an acute variety and as a result it may feel difficult to relax.

As with any Full Moon setting there is the risk of contentious encounters, arguments and volatile expression. There may also be simmering resentment, hostility or belligerence, and tempers will be very easily ignited. There are two dominant features of this present alert. One is the impending Full Moon which is now just over a day away, and the other is the alignment between Uranus and the Moon.

Moon/Uranus alignments (which today occurs from 13:00 GMT, or 08:00 EDT, and lasts for 12 hours) are amongst the most disruptive features of the average month, and deserve a special warning. It is for example a matter of record that many of the most lurid murders occur around the time of Moon/Uranus alignments, and this months alignment is made even more forceful by the proximity of the Full Moon.

As a result feelings may be very much on edge with changeable and restless emotions, and over-excitable feelings that will not easily be placated. In addition there may be a sense of galvanic energy with high-strung feelings and a tendency towards the drastic or highly dramatic. This may involve upheavals in family life or the work place with rebellious or disruptive attitudes and a tendency towards volatile expression or contentious encounters.

Under these circumstances there may also be a disposition to bizarre or eccentric moods with out of character thoughts and emotions. These can easily tend towards extremes and with some vulnerable personalities can make the most heinous of acts seem almost ordinary. For example there are numerous examples of friends suddenly murdering each other under the influence of Moon/Uranus alignments, because it suddenly seemed like the “right thing to do.”

We are now just a few days short of the Full Moon. Inevitably this will mean more intense moods and feelings with some anxiety and tension. In addition there is likely to be an atmosphere laden with petty fears and preoccupation, so that even moderate problems will seem to be magnified out of all proportion.

As with any Full Moon situation there will also be an increase in nervous restlessness and the possibility of aggressive moods and emotions. Indeed there is a definite potential for arguments and contentious encounters and these may erupt quite spontaneously from the most trivial of motives, or even just for the sake of it.

One influence of control at this time will come from the opposition between the Moon and Saturn. This will be influential for just over 15 hours and may lead to more restrained or restricted emotions that will tend to tone down some of the more powerful Full Moon emotions. However this will only be at the expense of some melancholia or depression, with reduced enthusiasm and inspiration.
