19th - 20th August 2007

Yet again this constitutes a highly complex celestial pattern that remains little changed from the previous alert bulletin. For example the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn are all to be found within around five degrees of one another, and also in opposition to Neptune, with the Earth in between.

All of this means there will be greatly heightened moods and feelings with the potential for intense emotions that for some may tend towards extremes. In addition there will be a sense of strong nervous restlessness with tension and anxiety, that may be difficult for those prone to nervous upsets or panic attacks.

The opposition between Mars and Jupiter is now coming to a peak, bringing an element of aggression with headstrong, belligerent attitudes, that may easily give way to arguments and volatile encounters. Indeed where arguments develop there may be very little restraint in what is said or done. This alignment may also lead to thoughts of self superiority, or conceited and boastful attitudes with little regard for others.

What measure of restraint exists at this time will come from the effects of Saturn, which is now in close alignment to the Sun, Mercury, and Venus. However this may all too easily tend towards melancholia, lack of confidence, pessimism, or a sense of easy discouragement, and in obvious contrast to the feelings of superiority mentioned above. However these contrasts are an accurate reflection of a complex mood situation that is capable of very strong extremes and may prove to be a period of significant challenge.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 35% illuminated.
